Chapter 42

Jordan's POV:

After seeing what Alexander had just done to Doctor Jack, I was once again scared as fuck. It was exactly like that time I saw Alexander shoot the man in the leg. My wolf Cleo wouldn't stop whimpering and whining. She was telling me to stop since it was no good for the babies. I too knew that, but I was just so scared. As soon as I was out of the pack hospital, I quickly called James.

"Hello, Luna?" A deep voice asked through the other end

"James!" I exclaimed, my throat clenching and my eyes red.

"Hey, love. Are you ok? You sound worried." James spoke. He sounded now concerned and I started to cry again, I heard a gasp and I knew that was from him.

"What's happened!? Are you ok!? Are the pups ok!?" James asked a bunch of questions at once. I shook my head. I then and there realising I was actually on the phone and he couldn't see me.

"Everything's fine with the pups. Something bad happened with Alexander." I cried, rubbing my running nose on my sleeve. I looked behind myself to make sure Alexander wasn't running out of the doors.

"Just please come and pick me up, I'll explain as soon as we meet. I'm outside the pack doctors household and I'm hiding in some bushes, I'm scared please hurry."

"I'll be there in a giffey love." With that he hung up on me.

I waited for 30 seconds and the sound of an engine roared. James got out of the large SUV and looked around, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion for where I was. I jumped up, running over to him. He quickly wrapped his arms around me and gave me a hug.

"Come on, let's go." He said, opening the door and helping me in. Once I was in I slammed the door and locked it, heavy tears still flowing. James got in on the other side. Suddenly, I saw the door to the pack hospital swing open. In the entrance stood a very angry Alpha.

He was frantically looking around, sniffing the air profusely. Once he had spotted me, all anger distinguished away from him, replaced with sudden guilt. My breath caught in my throat.

"James." I whispered and he looked out my window, looking at Alexander.

"Drive." I ordered.

James gave me a skeptical look but did as I demanded and took off. I looked back and Alexander's head had dropped ever so slighlty. He looked really sad and I couldn't help but feel my heart clench.

Alexander's POV:

She left me.

She just got into a car with my Delta, and left me.

I hung my head low, letting out a drawn breath, a saddened and pained whimper projected out of me. Without thoughs, an angry growl ripped through my chest.

We need to go and get her and explain to her that we didn't mean any true harm. I stated powerfully to my wolf. He howled out in a sarcastic matter, causing me to furrow my eyebrows.

Bitch, you realised that you were going to kill him, pfft, no true harm my arse. Ryder howled out laughing again and I scolded him.

Just shut up. I said angrily to him and pushed in the back of my head. I quickly dialled Markus, eventually he picked up. He was breathing heavily.

"What?" He asked, as if annoyed that he was disrupted with something important. I let it slip, not in the mood to argue with him or anyone for that matters.

"Get down here and take me up to my house right now. It's an emergency." I yelled angrily into the phone. My claws dug into the case.

"I'm really busy!" I heard him whine out in desperation, almost as if he was pleading me to get someone else. Soon enough, I heard a girly giggle from the other end of the phone and automatically knew it was Jess.
