~Brendon's POV~

I reached out to try to find Addilyn, but couldn't find her. "Addy?" I finally opened my eyes and she wasn't in the bed. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Then, I went downstairs to find Add's drinking her coffee.

Once she realized I was there she said, "Oh, good morning, let me warm up your coffee."

"Now I know what it feels like being alone in bed." She turns around and hands me my coffee with a smirk.

   "How did you sleep?"

   "Very well. You?"

"Great actually, thanks." We sat in silence for at least a good 10 minutes and it wasn't a nice silence. She seemed off today. Usually, Addilyn would give me a hug and kiss, but not today.

   "You okay?"

   "Oh yeah, why you ask?"

"You just seem a little off today."

"I'm perfectly fine." Yeah, she's totally lying. I set down my coffee and stared at her. Then, Addilyn set down her coffee and looked up, "What?"

I took a hold of her hands, "What's wrong?"

"Have you been talking to anyone lately?"

"Well, yeah. I've been talking to Dallon, Zack, Spencer-"

"Like anyone I don't know about?"

   "I, uh, I don't think so."

"Are you sure? Like anyone I don't like?"

   "Um-"

"Like someone who may have cheated on you or like has been trying to separate us?" Sarah.

"You mean Sarah, right?" She nods. "Breezy?" Once again, Adds nods.

"I was actually going to talk about that with you today."

"Oh really, you were," says says, sarcastically.

    "Yeah, I was actually."

   "Mhm."

"Addilyn, you know I wouldn't lie to you, so let's talk about Sarah."

Her eyes widened and she looked perturbed, "You guys aren't having an affair behind my back are you?!"

"No way!" She looks relieved. "Surprisingly, Sarah has changed."

   Addilyn scoffs, "Sure, she has."

"I'm being serious. She apologized for everything-"

"Remember the first time she came over to apologize to you... she tried to have sex with you."

"Honey, I know. Please trust me though, I really think she has changed. Sarah wanted me to tell you congrats on being cancer free."

   "Do you guys text?"

   "Yes."

"When did she tell you all of this?"

   "At the hospital."

Addilyn rose from her seat, "She came to the hospital! Did she come in my room?"

"Your mom wouldn't allow her in."

"God, thank you so much mom. I betcha she would've tried to kill me."

I laugh, "Addilyn, now you're being ridiculous."

"Ridiculous?! That girl hates me and will do anything to be with you again."

   "She's not like that anymore."

   "I don't believe that."

"Addilyn, please." Addilyn went over to sit on the couch and I followed. "Just trust me." She was biting her nails and looked like she wanted to cry. I took her hand and Addy didn't look move nor look at me. "Just try to like her, for me."

"But what if I don't want to like her?"

   "Addilyn."

   "Fine, I'll try for you."

"Thank you, love. You know I love you."

"And you know I love you too."

"You know Thanksgiving is coming up?"

   "Yeah."

"We should invite everyone over here."

   "That would be fun."

   "Even Sarah."

Addilyn took her hand back and looked at me, "No! She's going to ruin Thanksgiving! Who knows what she's going to do!"

"Addilyn, remember what we talked about."

"Fine, Brendon, fine! I'm not talking with her and I will certainly not be her best friend." And with that last response, Addy got up from the couch and went straight upstairs.
