Today was Deadpool's first mission. Along with Tracer, Reinhardt, D.Va, and McCree, he was sent to Hanamura, Japan to take back a capture point that had been captured by Talon agents. While the rest of the team took the agents head-on, Deadpool snuck around the area to find the capture point itself. He leaned against a wall and poked his head out, loading one of his guns while he did so. Just around the wall was the capture point he was looking for.
"Jackpot!" He whispered. He snuck out from behind the wall and into the room, and the point was captured. He clicked the button on his headset that connected him to the communication channel the team was connected to.
"Guys, I just captured the point." He said.
"Huh. Nice work, newbie." He heard McCree say.
"Indeed! Excellent work, Wade!" Reinhardt followed up.
"GG, Deadpool!" D.Va responded. Deadpool awaited the praise from Tracer, but instead, he heard her say something else.
"Um... Wade? You might wanna get out of there." She said, a hint of worry in her voice.
"What, and lose the capture point?" Deadpool responded.
"That doesn't matter right now! We don't have much time!" Tracer exclaimed. Now Deadpool was confused.
"What are you talking about?" He asked. "...Should I be worried?"
"Yes, very!" Tracer responded. "Somebody else is after the point."
"Oh yeah? Who?" Deadpool asked. He got his answer when he heard a ghostly noise behind him. It sounded like an otherworldly hiss, and was followed by a deep sinister sounding chuckle. Deadpool slowly turned around to see a figure approaching him. Puffs of black and dark purple smoke emanated from the figure. He wore a black hooded coat and a bone-white skull mask. He looked awesome. Deadpool clicked the button on his headset again.
"Yeah... I'm gonna have to call you back." He whispered. By now, the figure was standing right in front of him.
"Who the hell are you?" He asked. His voice was deep and gravely. Deadpool liked this guy already.
"Hey. I'm Deadpool." He introduced. Again, the figure chuckled darkly.
"So you're the new Overwatch lackey I've heard so much about." He said. "That's a shame, I expected more."
"Wait... I think I recognize you from somewhere." Deadpool began, scratching his chin in thought with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, Captain America - I mean Soldier 76 mentioned you! You're Reaper!"
"Morrison..." Reaper growled under his breath when he heard Soldier 76's name. "He told you about me?"
"Yep. You sounded pretty cool when he described you, but you're way cooler looking in person!" Deadpool continued. Reaper chuckled at the compliment.
"Well, now we know each other." He said. "Too bad I'm gonna kill you." As he said this, he pulled out two large silver and black shotguns seemingly out of nowhere.
"Wait, what's that over there?" Deadpool asked, trying to distract Reaper.
"Please. You don't really think I'm gonna fall for that, right?" Reaper responded.
"It looks like Soldier 76 is right behind you." Deadpool continued.
"Where!?" Reaper yelled, quickly turning around to face his rival. But by the time he turned around, he realized he had been tricked. Before he could turn back around, he felt a bullet rip through his arm. He groaned in pain and held the wounded arm as he turned to glare at Deadpool behind his mask. Deadpool was holding a smoking pistol and was beginning to draw a katana from his back.
"Alright, edgelord. You wanna fight? Let's fight." Deadpool challenged. Pulled out his two guns again and opened fire on Deadpool. Within a few seconds, Reaper's clips had been emptied.
"Are you done?" Deadpool asked. Rather than reloading, Reaper threw the guns to the side and pulled out two more. He continued to shoot over and over again, getting more frustrated each time.
"That seems wasteful." Deadpool remarked.
"How are you still alive?!" Reaper growled.
Before long, Deadpool heard footsteps approaching. Reaper heard this as well. Tracer and the others were running over to them.
"You may be able to survive my onslaught." Reaper hissed, glancing back at Deadpool. "But I doubt your friends will share your luck." With that, he disappeared into a puff of black smoke. Deadpool watched as the smoke swiftly moved towards Tracer and the rest of the group.
"Uh oh." He said. He ran over as well, though he couldn't keep up with Reaper. Once the puff of smoke reached the group, he transformed back into his usual form. Everyone seemed surprised to see him.
"Miss me?" Reaper growled. He began to glow red and summon clouds of black smoke around himself. Everyone knew what was about to happen. In preparation for what was to come, Reinhardt and D.Va summoned their shields, and everyone got behind them. As soon as they did this, Reaper activated his Ultimate; Death Blossom. He released a barrage of bullets at the group, laughing wickedly as he did so. Reinhardt's shield began to crack.
"I can't hold out much longer!" He warned.
"Looks like we won't have to." D.Va responded. She pointed at Deadpool, who had just tackled Reaper to the ground. The two wrestled for a while, but Deadpool gained the upper hand. He aimed his gun at Reaper's head.
"Any last words, Reapy?" He asked.
"You idiot." Reaper hissed. Then, he dissolved into black smoke and slipped out from underneath Deadpool, laughing as he did so. He began to float away into the night, before he finally disappeared out of sight. Deadpool got up and put his gun away.
"Well, that kinda sucked." He said. "Looks like he got away."
"That was still pretty great, Deadpool." Tracer complimented. "Not many of us can hold their own against Reaper, especially alone."
"You may be Overwatch material after all, kid." McCree added, tipping his hat.
"Thanks, and never call me kid again." Deadpool said.

Meanwhile, Reaper reappeared on one of Talon's aircrafts. Another elite Talon agent, Widowmaker, was there waiting for him.
"So, how did it go?" She asked.
"Not well." Reaper grumbled. "Their new agent is extremely powerful. We can't kill him using regular methods."
"Hmm... interesting." Widowmaker responded. A sinister smile crossed her purple face. "I'm looking foreword to meeting this 'Deadpool'. He seems interesting."
"We're going to need to rethink our strategy beforehand." Reaper suggested. Widowmaker nodded as the aircraft sped through the sky back to Talon headquarters.

Author's Note: Next chapter will be a reader request. If there's a character you'd like to see Deadpool interact with, please leave a comment. Personally, I'm looking foreword to writing the chapters for D.Va and Zenyatta, but it's up to the comments. Thanks!
