From the moment I woke up I knew it was going to be a long day. I heard Jason and Dick fighting about something unimportant. They do that almost every morning. It suprises me Damian isn't there to scream at them for waking him up. He's very grumpy
in the morning. I sigh and get out of bed. There's a knock on my door and Tim comes in. 'Is something wrong?' I ask grumpily. (You know where Damian gets it from) 'Just checking if you remember what day it is.' I frown. What day is it? Saturday?

Tim smiles mysteriously. 'You didn't forget did you?' I sigh. 'I guess I did. What's so special about today?' Tim smiles widens. 'We're getting a dog today.' Then he's gone. Shit, I forgot. Dick has been asking for a dog sinds he was ten and Jason wanted one too when he was younger. When Tim talked about it two weeks ago Dick got exited again and even Jason liked the idea of getting one. When I said that none of us ever had a dog, Damian said that he learned how to train one at the league of assasins. It was the first time since Damian came that the boys agreed on something, so I said yes. Stupid, I know, but the rest of the day the boys behaved!

I go downstaires to get breakfast and see that Alfred's making omelets. Clearly he want's me in a good mood. To late for that.

'Morning sir, coffee?' I nod and sit down at the table. After a few minutes Tim, Jason and Dick come downstairs. 'Is master Damian still in bed?' Alfred asks. Jason shrugs. 'Who cares.' Alfred glares at him and he quickly turns his head. Alfred has the scariest glare in the mansion. At least in my opinion. 'I'll go get him.' I get up and walk to my youngest sons room.

'Damian?' I ask while opening the door. 'What?' He asks grumpily. Man, it's scary how much he's like me. 'It's time to get up. We're getting a dog today remember.' I hear him sigh. 'I shall be right down father.' I frown. Normally he doesn't act this way. I shrug and deside to ignore it. Ten minutes later Damian is already down and fighting with Tim. Just a normal mornig in the houshold, I think.

After an hour we're all on our way to the dog center. Jason is already in a bad mood because i called shotgun. He, i'm the oldest, i have the right to sit in the front. 'Do all of yoy already have a dog in mind?' Bruce asks. 'I want a pitbull.' Jason says. 'Of course you do Todd.' Damian says. 'What's that supposed to mean little demon?' Jason glares at Damian. 'Tim, what do you want?' I aks before those two idiots do something stupid. It's bound to happen, but maybe I can stretch it till we're out of the car.

Tim shrugs. 'A beagle. I like beagles.' 'And you Damian?' I aks when I see Jason is about to say something. Nothing good ever comes out of his mouth anyway. Damian glares at me. 'I have given it a thought and I do not want a dog.' 'What?!' Tim practicly screams. 'You little...' 'Jason!' Bruce says before Jason says something bad. 'Damian...' he then says calmly to his youngest. 'I thought you wanted a dog to?' 'I have simply reconsiderd father. It would be a foolish idea. You are not home very often and besides Alfred none of us are responsible.' 'Speak for yourself.' Jason says angry. 'Come on Dami, it will be fine.' I try to convince him, but it doesn't work.

The rest of the drive is in silence. Thank god.

Finally we arive at the center. It's still early so there aren't that many cars yet. As we walk to the center I notice Damian is walking a bit slower than te rest of us, but i'm not in the mood to ask. Even Tim, who is normally quiet, is really exited. 'Do we get a male or a female dog?' He asks with a smile. It's good to see him like this. He's been more quiet than usual since Damian moved in. 'We'll see what dog you like and then it doesn't matter if it's a male or female.' Bruce says while walking tot de front desk.
