Why they hate plants: part 1

Bruce pov

It's late, I've spent the entire day at the office, Jason and Damian were trying to kill eachother and Poisen Ivy escaped Arkham. Why does the universe hates me so much?

I'm still working when the alarm from the batcave goes off. Great, that must be Ivy. We still don't know how she escaped, but she definatly had help from the outside. Gordon thinks she might be at an abandoned building at the docks, but I know she isn't. She was chaught there last time, she won't go back. The boys are already in the cave. Tim and Damian still in pj's. Jason is not here but it's his patrol night so he must be already tracking Ivy.

'We'll split up. Tim and Damian with me. Dick, go and look for Jason. He can't be out there alone right now.'

Dick nods and goes to chance in his nightwing suit.

'Why does Drake has to come with us father? We can survive without him.'

I sigh and look at my two youngest sons. They're glaring at eachother, like always.

'Boys, behave. We don't have time for this. Tim is coming with us because I say so. Now go change into your uniforms and shut up.'

They glare at eachother one more time and then go change. Sometimes I don't know what to do with those boys. I search the batcave computer for information. Ivy has been seen in an...club. What he hell is she doing there? I hear a motor and know Dick is already out. I quickly change myself and wait for Robin and Red Robin to stop fighting.

'No, I do not agree with the fact Drake is aloud to sit in the front because of the fact he is older. I am your blood son.'

'Can you just shut up about that. Yes, you're his blood son. That doesn't mean you deserve to be treated better. Besides, he chose us. He's just stuck with you.'

Robin wants to say something, but I put up my hand.

'Boys we dont have time for this. Red Robin send these coördinations to Nightwing and Red Hood.'

As I ride the batmobile out of the cave I wonder what Ivy is up to now. I sure as hell hope she isn't planning on killing many people again. Then again, she wasn't in arkham for nothing.

Red Hood pov

I'm tracking one of Ivy's men when I hear Nightwing over the comm.

'Red Hood, I'm heading your way now. Are you tracking Ivy already?'

'One of her men. He'll lead me to her headquaters. I'll contact you when I have something new.'

I follow the men from the shadows and make sure I'm invisible. Like most henchmen, this guy is an idiot. And drunk. A drunk idiot. My favorite. I follow him for ten more minutes when he finally enters a building. It's a creepy old school building. Perfect for Ivy.

'Nightwing, I think I've found Ivys hideout. Sending coördinates now. I'll wait for you and the others.'

Normally I wouldn't wait, but Batman always gets angry when I go in without a plan (always), so I better wait.

'Red Hood.'

I turn arround and see my oldest brother standing on the edge of the rooftop. He walks towards me and watches the building.

'Batman and the boys are on the other side. We go in in five minutes. Manouvre 5.'

I nod. Thay means we go in and distract the badguys while the big Bat goes after Ivy. I would like to kick her ass to, but that's not my decicion to make.

After five minutes we go in and break two windows in the process. A lot of guys start shooting at us and we hear Tims voice on the other side. Soon the four of us are standing in the middle fighting Ivy's goons.

'Where's Batman?'

I ask the boys.

'Father is looking for Ivy as we speak. We need to keep these men occupied.'

I nod and kick on guy in his balls. After a while I hear Batmans voice over the comm.

'Boys, get out of there. Ivy's working for the league. They're coming.'

We nod and walk towards the windows when I hear Batman talking just to me.

'Jason, Thalia is alive. Make sure Damian doesn't find out. He's not ready to reunite with his mother yet.'

'Understood.'

I look back at Robin. He's fighting hard and seems to get behind a bit. I shot the guy he's fighting and pull him behind me.

'Red Hood! I'm perfectly capable of fighting these idiots off myself.'

'I know, but Bats said we have to get out and I'm not in the mood to fight with him today.'

We run to the windows and are almost there when plants start crawling towards us. They slidder over the ground like snakes. Every plant has spikes on it and I'm not in the mood to be got by any o them.

'Come on!'

Nightwing screamed while firing his grapelinghook on the building across. He and I go together with RR and Robin right behind us. Everything went great until I heard a scream. I landed on the building and turned arround. Tim and Dami were stuck in mid air. Plants are wrapped arround their legs as they try to hold on to their grapelinghooks.

'Red! Robin!'

Nightwing screams. I try to shoot the plants but they just keep pulling harder.

'Tell Batman not to come for us!'

Tim screams while letting go of his grapelinghook. Dami holds on a little longer, but after a scream of pain, he let's go to.

We keep staring at the window our brothers just disapeared trough until we hear a sound behind us.

'Where are they?'

Batman asks angry. Nightwing and I share a look.

'Ivys plants pulled them back in. There was nothing we could do.'

Batman gives me his worst batglare. The three of us know what will happen to Tim and Dami when Thalia will come. She'll torture Tim and god knows what she'll do to Damian.

We need to get them back.
