The walk to my locker is short and I'm quick to put all my books and lunch inside before quickly skipping off to maths.

When I get to my maths room there are students talking outside and a few already seated. One girl is in the back chowing on gum, she has long blonde hair and glasses. She has a few sweat pimples due to the humidity but other than that she looks nice.

The teacher isn't in class yet, so I decide to sit next to her. I walk past the desks which are separated in exam positions.

"Don't sit there" the girl hisses, glaring at me. I give her a funny look and move to the next seat which is available. It's not like anyone is already ocuplying it.... Weird.

About 1 minute later the teacher walks in and starts yelling out names.

"Debbie Phipps" ... "Here"
"Rowland Quetty" .. "Here"
"Liam Reed".. My breath hitched and my heart started beating fast when I heard his name, but there was no answer, so I calmed myself down.
"Liam Reed, has anyone seen him today" the teacher says like he's talking to a brick wall.

"Nah","no", "maybe", "not sure" people say not really paying much attention to the poor teacher.

"Hayley Taylor" .. "Here" I say, the whole class goes quiet. Everyone turns and looks at me, a small blush appears on my checks at being in the lime light.
The door busts open revealing a very fresh looking Liam, with a not so fresh looking Carla clinging to his arm.

"Mr Reed, Miss Harris care to join us" the teacher holds out a hand for them to come in the door and have a seat. My heart starts up again, my cheeks flush red and my eyes no longer can look straight ahead. I feel myself sink lower in the seat.

After the teacher has given out worksheets and workbooks he sits at his desk and is on the computer, letting the class educate themselves. Not very smart. Liam and Carla sat two rows behind me, I'm sure I can feel Carla's breath on my neck even though she is so far away.
"Pssss" someone says, I look around wondering who would do such a weird noise, the girl with the glasses is looking my way and still glaring.
"Pssss" I look to the right a girl with short blonde hair and a nice set of purely white teeth is sitting across from me 'psss' me huh. :/

I give her a questioning look, she is smiling, so I can't have done anything wrong. Then I notice a note she is holding and I take it, trying not to let the teacher see.

To Hayley

Stay away from him, things have changed. Keep your fat ass away or else

Carla

I roll my eyes and scrunch it in a paper ball and chuck it over my shoulder, not caring who it hits.

"Awe, who throw that" Carla says angrily. I smile knowing I hit the target without looking.

Without a warning someones foot hits the back of my chair and send my stomach into my desk, which makes my desk go tumbling forward, into the person in front of me.

I turn around so fast, I'm sure I heard a slight crack in my neck, not sure if that's good or not. Frowning at myself I glare at Carla. She thinks she is starting something up. She has another thing coming, I think standing to my feet angrily.

"Is there a problem Hayley" the teacher steps in before I can smack her smug smile off her face. I don't reply and sit down completely ignoring the chattering that has started up and the poor guy in front of me who will probably need to see a chiropractor.

The bell rang a few minutes after and everyone hurried to get out of class, although the first one was Liam. Sadness fell over me seeing him like that.

As I walked into my next class, which was art, the whole class starred. I should be used to this by now, back in New York, everyone minded there own business. Know one cared if you were late to class. Everyone kept to there friendship groups. Here, everyone seemed to know everyone's business. Everyone had to know what was going on in everyone's lives.

I walk down the row of high tables, not really sure where to sit. "Hayley!" Someone yells, I look around and see Chase, Wyatt and Liam sitting in the corner. Liam obversely taking no notice of me as I sit next to Chase.

"How's your first day going" Chase asks leaning close, his chin resting on his hand staring at me.

"Alright, I guess" I lie, not wanting to relive the carla incident again." Nothing to major has happened" I say hearing a grunt from Liams direction I look over and see him drawing something not looking but obviously listening.

"You keen for my bonfire this weekend" Wyatt almost yells in my ear, not sure how he got so close. "It's gunna be so much fun, you should defiantly come" he says enthusiasticly punching Chases shoulder and kicking Liam in the shin.

"Ow" Liam says rubbing his shin where Wyatt kicked him, still not looking our way and continues drawing. I roll my eyes and smile at Wyatt who seems to be waiting for me to say something.

"Maybe, my dad has me on house arrest. He doesn't want me to get in trouble the first week back" I say hearing another grunt from Liam causing me to roll my eyes again.

"Oh" Chase and wyatt say in sinc, both faces dropping.

After art was lunch and I ate with Wyatt and Chase, Liam was no where to be seen.
Photography was next and I had that with Chase, who seemed ecstatic about it. We took pictures of each other and it was fun. Maybe today wasn't so bad after all.

Next was chemistry, which was with Wyatt. We sat at the back and talked, he told me about him and his family and how his mum and dad broke up all the time but kept getting back together.

Next was lunch again, Liam still wasn't there and in English he didn't show. I felt sad that I hadn't talked to him yet, I'd seen him but even though he was there, he wasn't. Something had changed in him. I hope it wasn't me moving, I would never forgive myself. I felt so bad for not talking to him all these years, there was times I stalked him on Facebook but he had privacy settings and I didn't want to befriend him in case he declined.

When the bell rang at the end of the day, it sounded like wedding bells on a lovely winters morning. But there was no wedding, it wasn't winter and it wasn't morning. But the feeling is what counts right..

Students scatter every which way, teachers rush around, a line of buses are at the front of the school and students are pile on. I was so keen to get home and get this horrible, itchy skirt off.

As I line up in the bus line, the glasses girl from maths is there glaring at me.
"What's stuck up your ass" I say before I can stop myself. The look of disbelief over loads her face. Oh no, that probably wasn't the best way to make friends in a place your hated.
Oh well make the most of it, I chant to myself.
