Marley used to be normal. She had a high paying job as a psychiatrist, a stable relationship and was completely sane. However, not everyone's life ends up perfect and Marlene was one of those people. The blonde had developed cancer and she went into...
"SO...WHO'RE WE WAITING FOR?" Marlene asked as she sat with the recruiter on a park bench, every now and then having to scare off some birds that landed near them. She was allowed to leave the station once she gave a description on who 'attacked' her husband. Of course, she had to make up one, so she went for a Bradley Cooper looking guy that she saw earlier on at the hospital. Poor guy.
"A man by the name of Ajax. He's going to help your problem."
"Hows this going to work exactly? How much do I have to pay for this?" She questioned, not noticing the British twat coming up beside her.
"You don't have to pay Mrs Kinnzel, this is all for the future."
"Oh, my batman! You scared the crap outta me." Marlene jumped up from the bench and straightened out her crinkled skirt. She turned her head and slowly lifted it up to see the face of the man who scared the shit out of her. He looked like a typical British guy. A bit creepy, but still British. "The future? What future? I have no future if you can't help me."
"You suffer from Leukaemia, correct? How long have you got?" The tall bold man asked.
"A month, two at the most."
"I'm sure we can cure it with our methods. Though, there could be a problem."
"What is it?!" Marlene asked frantically, basically grabbing the mans coat. The recruiter came up behind her and pried off her fingers.
"It's not exactly legal Mrs Kinnzel." The suited man stated, putting his hands joined infront of him in a formal manner.
"How much not legal?"
"Very illegal."
The dying woman sucked in a breath as she turned around away from the men and reviewed her options.
'Do it, we need to live!' The voice shouted at her.
"But what about it being illegal?" She asked aloud to the voice. Ajax and the recruiter shared confused looks as they watched her.
'Who gives a fuck about it being illegal? If we get it and live, it'll all be worth it.' It argued back at her. Marlene sighed and turned back to the men.
"I'll do it."

Marlene was taken to a warehouse that looked like it was home to a bunch of homeless people and was then strapped into a gurney. She tried to look infront of her by tilting her head back and forcing her eyes to look up as far as they could go, but it only resulted in them aching. The sudden noise of the double doors opening by her head startled her as she was wheeled into a room full of other patients. If you could call them that.
The surroundings were dark and people were screaming in agony. Marlene instantly regretted giving in to the voice as she was pushed into a small area with a curtain. Once she was left alone, she whispered to it.
