I saw a man
With soulful eyes,
With a square jaw,
And a vacant smile.
He lost his arm,
Maybe in a war,
In his mother's womb,
Or a careless car.
He begged to live,
Sang and begged,
His eyes were pained,
Stance enraged.
I saw a man,
Fighting with fate,
Surviving the world,
In a helpless state.
I looked at him
Through the window of a train,
And saw as the man,
Got lost in the rain.
