We park by a forest. The cold October air feels crisp when we exit the car and I can't help but think that he was right when he said that I should bring a coat.
It is now dark and if I were here with anyone other than him I would be freaking out.
"Did you bring me here so you could kill me?" I ask as he unloads the car. A basket and a blanket. He grabs my hand once again and lead me deeper into the woods.
"Yes. Nobody will hear you scream out here." He jokes.
We walk in a comfortable silence untill we reach a lake. He puts down the blanket and the basket and starts up a fire.
"My dad brought me here when I was a kid." He tells me as he sits down next to me. "We had a cabin not to far from here." His eyes shine brighter than ever when he tells be about it.
The cold seeps through my coat, I move closer to Blain and rest my head on his shoulder. "Cold?" I nod. He excuses himself and takes two thermoses out of the basket.
"Chai or Chamomile?" He asks
"Chamomile please." I say, he hands me the cup and sits down next to me yet again.
"When I was a child I used to dream about going to the stars, I would tell my friends about it and they thought I was crazy." I tell him and he raises an eyebrow.
"How come?" He asks with amusement lingering in his voice.
"Everyone else wanted to go to the moon."
"I wanted to fly... when I was fourteen I went ziplineing with my brother and I remeber thinking that it was the closes I would get." I look up at him but he is looking straight into the fire.
We keep talking about everything and nothing, he never asks me anything about Emily but when I tell him he listens.
"What do you want to do before you die?" He asks and moves closer but I don't think about it we have been doing it the whole night.
I think about it, I made a bucket list when Emily died but I was eighteen and stupid back then. Nothing on that list matters anymore. It was stupid stuff such as getting so drunk that I won't remember my own name.
"I want to jump out of a plane."
His chest falls up and down as he chuckles. "That is badass." I laugh. "I know...How about you?"
He hesitates. He scans my face gaze at my eyes, my nose and lastly my lips.
My heart is pounding in my chest. I can't help but look at his lips as well. They are plump, they are kissable.
"I want to kiss you." He whispers, his voice is raspy.
"Then do it."
My eyes flutter shut just as he puts his lips on mine. He kiss is airy light at first. I bring my hand to the back of his neck and pull him closer. His lips fit perfectly on mine. He cups my cheeks with his hands and to soon we pull away.
