"Ahhhh no. No. Stop," I yelled laughing. Matthew was tickeling me because I called him stupid. Idiot.
"Fine. Whatever," he shrugged. I sat up and turned the TV on.
"So what have you and your dad been doing lately?" I asked. This is the first time we've spent time together in about a month.
"Nothing. Just telling me what to do and how to be ready for it," he sighed.
"You're stressed," I observed. He nodded.
"Want to go get some ice cream?" I asked. He nodded amd smiled.
*10 minutes later*
We sat at the shoppe eating ice cream.
"This is the first relaxing moment I've had in a while. And it's with you," he smiled.
"I'm sorry you've been so busy," I said.
"Not your fault," he said. I threw away the rest of my ice cream.
"Wanna go for a walk?" he asked.
"In 50 degree weather?" I asked pulling my coat closer to me.
"Yea. Why not?" he smirked. I just nodded my head. He grabbed my hand and we walked along the sidewalk.
"So how's your family been?" he asked.
"Good I guess. Dad's been at home, mum's been working. And Derek, from what I know of, hasn't been in any trouble," I said. He chuckled.
"How's your parents? And Mary?" I asked.
"They've been really busy. Lot's of meetings lately. I think it has to do with us. But I'm staying out of it. And Mary's been good. Back in America," he said.
"Well I'm glad.........I really have missed you. We haven't spent any time together," I said. He stopped and looked at me.
"I know. I've missed you too. I'm sorry," he said. He kissed me quickly.
"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault either," I said. We continued walking down the street. I heard a bunch of clicking and knew it was cameras.
"Time to head back to the car," Matthew said and we stopped then turned around casually.
"Coming back to my house after this?" I asked. He put his arm around my shoulders.
"Yea," he smiled. We walked back to his car as paps started to come around us. We got in the car and drove off before they could follow us.
We arrived at my house and went inside. I went to the kitchen and made some tea. I walked into the living room to see Matthew watching football. Manchester United was playing against Liverpool. I gave him some tea and we watched the game together.
After the game had finished the phone rang. I went to answer it.
"Hello?"
"Hey Annabelle it's mum."
"Hey mum."
"I'm on my way home but I'm picking up things for dinner. I need you to get the mail and start the water for pasta."
"Ok mum. See you soon." I hung up and walked into the kitchen.
"Matt can you go get the mail real quick?" I called. He replied with a yes then went to get it. I got out a pot and filled it with water. I put it on the stove and started the heat. I didn't hear Matthew come back in. I walked into the living room smiling. I frowned when I saw Matthew glaring at something in the mail. He looked up and held a piece of paper in his hand.
"What the hell is this?" he asked. I took the letter and my jaw dropped.
Hope you liked it. Next chapter coming soon.
