Chapter 35

"Excuseme," The receptionist called out, "The patient is here."

Cabir instantly looked at Mukti and gave her an assuring look. This was not easy for her. How would someone feel when they realise that the person they thought was dead, is still alive? Specially when that person is the love of your life. She said she's fine but her face told a different story. After all, not everyone gets their happy ending.

Manik moved closer and whispered into Mukti's ear, "You're strong. Go for it!" Mukti nodded and took a deep breath. All of them headed towards the Room where Abhimanyu was and every step caused their heartbeat to fasten.

"I think we should wait outside," Spoke Manik, "And let Mukti talk to him, Alone. Yeah?" Cabir agreed and smiled a little, looking at Mukti.

"Guys, what if it's someone else? What if we're assuming? What if ye sab jhoot ho?" Okay, now one thing was clear. She was very nervous. The strong, Oh-so-powerful Mukti was nervous. Just when Manik and Cabir were trying to boost up her confidence, her cell phone rang. It was a text Message from Alya which Said,

"Muktii, babe. Exhale Doubt, Inhale Confidence and Go for it!"

Truly, what else someone needs when they have such friends in life? She kept her head high, Chin up and walked straight into the room where Abhimanyu was supposed to be.

As she stepped inside the room, She saw a guy who was lying on the hospital bed. She couldn't see his face because he was holding a newspaper in his hands. She took a sigh and after gathering all of her strength she finally said, "Abhimamyu?" In that Particular moment, She felt that the world has stopped and it was her moment, just her moment. After about a minute or two, the guy kept the Newspaper aside and that was it. Everything was crystal clear. It was Abhimanyu. The long hidden truth was finally out. "Mukti." This was all he could say. Tears spilled down their eyes and sometimes, tears of joy are the best words the heart can speak. She ran towards him and embraced him in a bone crashing hug. "Why!?" She cried angrily, "Why did you do this to me?"

"Because I love you." He said, still in the hug.

"Who does such a thing to a person they love?" She said, hitting his back playfully.

"I couldn't see you crying. I didn't wanted you to see me dying, Mukti."

"So you thought leaving me like this is a better option? You thought this won't make me cry?" She Questioned, breaking the hug. Her eyes were filled with tears.

"I thought kay atleast meri death ke flashbacks to tumhe haunt nahi krenge."

"Just don't say a word." Ordered Mukti, keeping a finger on his lips.

However, Manik and Cabir were seeing all this from the outside. They had this huge smile on their face which was enough to tell that they were More than Happy to know the truth. "So, this is actually happening!" Said cabir, proudly.

"Nandini's getting better, Mukti found Abhimanyu and even Aryaman's truth is out!" Manik was a bit relieved but not fully, for sure.

"Everything's just going perfect!" Exclaimed Cabir, out of happiness.

"But there's still something left, which has to be done." Said Manik in a voice laced with anger and determination at the same time.

"And what's that?" Questioned Cabir raising an eyebrow.

"Harshad and Nyonika."

"You're so right. We need to fix their heads."

"Hey, Manik!" Called Aryaman, "I need to talk to you."

"Sure, is everything fine?" He Questioned.

"Yeah, it's just that I wanted to talk about Nandini. I mean, she's getting better but still, ye koi fever ya headache nahi which will go away just like this, you're getting my point?"

"Par wo theek to hojayegi na?"

"Just don't worry. Be normal and yeah one more thing" Said Aryman, holding his hand and giving him an assuring look, "You may take her home now. She's better."

"Thank you so much. You have no idea what she means to me and I just..I can't lose her, at any cost. I just Can't."

"You won't," Aryaman was confident, "Just by the way, where are you guys going now? And did you find the guy you were looking for?"

"Yeah we did. Wouldn't have been possible without your help and Yeah, we're going to fix Harshad. He needs some action!"

"Can I like, join you guys? I mean, if that's okay."

"Please do. The more, the merrier!" Said Manik, smiling a little.

"So guys, Dhruv bhi agaya. Let's just go for it!" Shouted Cabir.

"Ssh, you're still in the hospital." Said Aryaman.

Manik took out his cellphone from his pocket and texted Nandini,

"You're Fine?"

"Manik where are you?"

"In your heart! ;)"

"Manik!! Are you fine? "

"Yaa yaa. Don't worry and get some sleep, kay? I'll be back in an hour. No more questions. Take care 😊 "

Cabir moved towards Manik who was continously smiling looking at his phone and said, "Hogaya tumhara, Ab Chalen?"

"Haan haan, Chalo na. Me tou kabse kehra hun." Saying this, Manik left in a hurry.

"Ye kabhi nahi Sudhrega." Said Cabir, smiling a little.

"Stop Worrying Nandini." Manik texted.

"I'm not Worrying, Manik." She texted back which made him smile like an idiot.

Meanwhile at Harshad's House, he was lying on his couch, still thinking about the hospital incident. This was by far, his biggest loss. He was staring the ceiling when suddenly someone blindfolded his eyes. "What the hel!" He cried in shock and just then, a scotch tape on his mouth was also placed. Who could these people possibly be? Manik, Cabir, Dhruv and Aryaman! They even tied his hands and legs with a rope and carried him on their heads. They left his house with Harshad and his phone. They took him to a basement where everything was upside down. "Shall we start?" Questioned Cabir. Manik and the rest nodded their heads in a yes and kicked Harshad. Yes, all the four of them kicked him and that too, with all their power! This was not enough, they kicked the hell outta him. Harshad asked for this. He deserved this. After beating him for around an hour or so, Manik picked up Harshad's phone and texted Nyonika,

"There's a news for you. You will love it! Meet me at the College Basement right now."

"Guys, chalo. We need to leave this place right now!" Said Manik and they left the college basement immediately.

Nyonika reached the basement and called out for Harshad as he was no where to be seen. Just then, she saw a note hanging to the wall which said, "Go straight and turn Left. Surprise surprise!"

Nyonika followed the instructions and to her surprise, she saw harshad tied up on a chair. She just couldn't believe her eyes and was shocked to the core. There was a note on the back of his chair which said, "Liked it? No wait, loved it? Your dear Harshad for you!" and just then, her cellphone rang and it was a text message from Mr Malhotra, Manik's dad which said, "Manik said he has some important news for me about you. I hope you didn't do something this time Nyonika." And that was it. She was left stunned. Oh God! What is Manik upto? Kahin wo..Oh God, I have to stop him!
