(Y/n) woke up the next day and, to her horror, the doctors said that she would either have to get a glass eye to replace her old one, or wear an eyepatch.

"This game's taken two eyes already," she mumbled as the doctor brought in a white square eyepatch that wrapped around her head with four strings.

They then ruined her day farther by saying that her leg would scar.

Finally, they pushed her over the edge by saying that she would have to stay in the hospital for two months, but she didn't have time for that. Not with this death game. So, later that night, she begged Akise to get her out of there.

And he did. They jumped out of a lobby window, but he did.

When they got back to (Y/n)'s house, they wrapped her leg in medical gauze and fell asleep on the couch watching television together, and Vain walked into her house after spending a day of searching for (Y/n), releaved, threw a blanket over them, and then left to go to sleep herself.

They all slept peacefully.

"(Y/n)," Akise grumbled, looking down at the head in his lap. "(Y/n), wake up." He shook her and she jolted awake, punching him in the gut.

"Oh my god! Akise, I'm so sorry!" She said, covering her mouth to keep him from seeing her small macisist smile underneath. Akise groaned and stared angrily at her.

"I'll forgive you but you owe me," he said as she sat back down next to him and slung an arm over his shoulder. "How's your leg feel?"

"Average," she said, twisting it so she could look at the giant gash.

"And your eye?"

She stayed silent, looking up and staring at the television in front of them. She didn't know how to feel about her eye. Angry that her other eye twitched everytime she looked up, sad that her face would be scared forever, or worried that it might affect her playing in the game now that she had a blind side. It didn't hurt anymore thanks to the pain killers she had gotten.

"It's... okay. It doesnt hurt, but it'll be hard to play this Game without my left side of vision," she replied, sighing. Akise slung his arm around her.

"I'll be your left eye, if you want," he said. (Y/n) furrowed her brow and looked at him sideling.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I'll help you," Akise said. "I'll go eith you most places and walk on your left side, its not like I'm doing anything better anyways."

(Y/n) honestly considered it for a moment. But then her eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"Can I honestly trust you?" She asked, blame edging her voice. "Or are you going to let somebody ambush me from the side? You were a detective on my case, so I think I'm in the right to not trust you."

"Tsk," Akise clicked his tongue. "Dont you remember? I was the one who found you with those dogs, and I was the one who stayed with you at the hospital, and I was the one who helped you escape the hospital. If you don't trust me after that then I don't know how I'll ever convince you."

"But you could have run away deliberately because you knew about the dogs, and you could have stayed with me just to see if I would die there or not, and you could have helped me escape because you wanted to kill me for yourself," she retorted and they growled while staring each other down. Vain walked down stairs, yawning.

"You two fight like an old married couple," she muttered under her breath as she walked past them. They both automatically jumped up and yelled at her.
