I looked at the huge reddish train on the tracks then back at Teddy. He was fully healed and his hair was a dark greenish, his eyes the same. He smiled at me and pulled me into a quick hug before James grabbed my arm and dragged me to the train. Our trollies were already loaded and James was impatient about how it was going to ‘leave without us’.

“Write lots James, Albus, and you too Avril.” Mrs Weasley called out.

“Will do!” I called back and James muttered something about ‘smothering parents’.

I rolled my eyes and we walked along the carts, which were all full. We finally found an empty one at the end. Well almost empty. Inside sat a boy, who sat staring out the windows. He had short brown, almost black, hair which was extremely curly and murky green eyes. He glanced at us when we opened the door.

“Mind if we join you?” I asked seeing as I was at the front.

The boy shrugged and gestured to the seats before staring out the window again. I stepped in and sat across from the boy, by the window, and James sat next to him while Albus sat next to me. Nobody spoke for a moment as the train pulled away from the station and Albus and I waved to the Potters and Weasleys. Then I sat back and found the dark haired boy staring at me from the corner of his eyes. It was kind of weird, and I hadn’t seen him during the year.

“Um, hi I’m Avril.” I said, hopping to break the silence.

The boy nodded to me then turned back to the window. Gee thanks. I was about to ask him his name but the cart door opened and James’s friend Tommy looked in.

“Yo James. What ya doing here? The quidditch teams are in one of the front carts. Come on man!” He said and James grinned standing.

“See ya Fire Starter.” He said to me then left.

I glared at his back before it disappeared and I turned back to the boy across from me. I was about to ask him his name, again, then I realised he was smiling out of the corner of his mouth.

“What?” I asked him and he shook his head.

“Oh, nothing.” He said amusement thick in his voice.

“Fine then.” I grumbled sitting back and looking out the window.

“Sirius Black.” He said suddenly.

I looked at him suspiciously.

“What?” I was clearly confused.

“My name, Sirius Black.” He said and I sat back.

I was sure I had heard the name before. I looked at Albus and he was frowning as well.

“Okay, well it’s a pleasure.” I said holding my hand out.

“And you.” He replied ignoring my hand. “I’ve just transferred here, I used to go to the Durmstrang Institute in Norway.”

I nodded, I’d heard Coralline mention it a few times. Mostly the boys.

“Do you know what house you’re in?” Albus asked.

“Yea, like I said, I just transferred.” Sirius replied nodding.

“What? But the sorting-” I started wondering

“Yea, about that.” Albus started. “If you transfer from another school then you go in the house that is most similar, or even the same.”

I stared at them for a moment.

“Not fair.” I grumbled leaning my head against the window then after a moment. “Wait, what house are you in again?”
