"He just needs time Jack," Felix said when I went to his apartment the next morning.

"Felix, he really isn't the same guy that I knew," I said to my dismay.

He sighed. "Look, he just got that way because you left. But now you're back, so he might change."

I ran my hand through my hair. "But yesterday he was yelling at me asking why I was back! He didn't even look happy about it!"

"Jack, you can't expect someone just change in a blink of an eye," he said as he rolled his eyes

I rubbed my face with my hands. "I guess your right. I'm just having a hard time believing that."

"Are you going to go see him again today?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Why?"

"Well just do your best not to start a fight with him Jack. Talk about anything but the fact that you two broke up."

"Well, then what the hell am I going to say then?"

He looked around the room with playfully confusion. "I don't fucking know. Figure it out."

"You're useless to me!" I yelled playfully.

He pretended to be hearbroken. "My heart, it's broken forever!"

I laughed at him. "Oh well, you'll live!"

He laughed with me. "You're right though!"

I sighed with a smile. "This is why you're a good friend of mine."

"Yes, I'm a special person." He stood up. "Now you need to go to Mark, and make sure not to fight with him."

I stood up with him. "Well, I can only try."

"Do you want me to go with you?" he asked.

"He hasn't seen you in forever either," I stated. "Don't you think it'll be weird too?"

He sighed in annoyance. "Fine, leave me then."

"We'll catch up soon man. I promise," I said giving him a quick hug.

He walked me out the door and down to my car. We waved bye to each other then I drove off to Mark's place once again. However, this time I was hoping that it would go better than last time.

It wasn't long before I reached his apartment. I made my way out of my car then up to the apartment room. I knocked on the door but I wasn't getting any response, which was starting to make me worried.

I started to leave when a female stepped out of the apartment. She was a petite blonde with curves. I noticed she was wearing tight jeans and a tight white v-neck. She was startled to see me standing there. I couldn't recognize her face.

"Oh hello, are you here to see Mark?" she asked politely.

"Yes," I said simply.

"Well he's still in bed," she said walking away slowly.

"Oh, thanks," I said as I went inside.

I closed the door then looked around the apartment. Everything was the same except for more bottles laying around and the furniture pushed around in a mess. I heard him groan loudly in the bedroom so out of curiosity I went to go check up on him.

I peeked in slightly to see him getting out of bed, but when he stood up, I realized he was completely naked. I blushed deeply and quickly looked away. It wasn't the first time I've seen him naked, however, it's been so long since I've seen him is was so embarrassing.

I walked back into the living room trying to shake the image out of my head. I decided to play that I just walked in by yelling his name.

He walked into the living room only wearning boxers on. He rubbed his eyes. "Who's here?" he asked rudely.

I only stared at him blankly as my cheeks burned bright red with blush. He squinted at me, trying to recognize my face and once he did, his eyes went wide.

"Holy shit," he said looking down at himself. "Um let me get dressed real quick."

I nodded awkwardly then he went back into the room. Few minutes later he came back with a white t-shirt and joggers on. We both looked at each other in awkward silence.

"I'm sorry to just burst into the apartment. It was just that a girl came out of the apartment and I came in to see you again but I guess I came at the wrong time," I said finally as I played with my fingers.

He sighed clamly. "It's okay I guess."

I watched as he grabbed some pills off the table. I followed him into the kitchen as he drank some water for the pills. He raised an eyebrow when he realized I was just staring at him.

"What is it?" he asked.

I decided to ask the burning question that was in my mind.

"Who was the girl?"

He didn't look me straight in the eyes when he answered. "Don't worry about that Jack."

I furrowed my brows in annoyance. "And what about the drinks Mark?"

He glared at me. "When did you start to worry so much about me?"

I shook my head. "Forget it."

He groaned in pain. "I'm sorry. I got another headache and I just need to rest Jack."

I nodded. "Well, I came here to ask you something as well though."

"What is it?"

"Do you wanna go out with me sometime soon?"

He looked at me with a questionable expression. "What do you mean?"

"I just mean, like, to get to catch up with each other again. Whenever you want."

He didn't say anything for a few seconds since he was probably in thought. Then he said, "Give me ten minutes. We'll go today."

"Yeah, sure, okay," I rambled quickly.

He chuckled quietly as he went back to the room.

I sighed deeply as I tried to calm my nerves. I stood there looking around the apartment again. Everything was such a mess but now that I was here, maybe I could try to put everything back together.

He came back out with a flannel on instead of the white t-shirt. "Alright. I'm ready."

"Okay, let's go." I said as we left the apartment.
