>Mark<

It took me an hour to reach the bar. I wasn't in the mood to go in today, but since no one usually likes to take over and show the new guys, I might as well do it.

Right when I walked in, I was greeted by my manager. "Ah, so you did end up coming to work. Good."

"Where is he?" I asked, getting right to the point.

She looked around the bar, then pointed towards the guy with green fluffy hair. My eyes widened to see that it was Jack. He had already been promoted to a waiter and was wearing the tight uniform. He was forcing a smile at the current women who seated at the table.

"Why did you hire him?" I asked, a bit angrily.

Ava gave me a weird look. "What about it? I told you. He had a good looking face, and a cute little Irish male is what this place needed."

"That's my ex," I muttered.

She didn't seem fazed by that fact. "Well, Jack naturally knew you were working here, but that didn't stop him from applying."

"I'm going back home, Have one of the other workers to show him the ropes."

However, she gripped my wrist tightly, not allowing me to go anywhere. "Jack, may you come over here," she called.

Jack politely dismissed himself from the table he was working at, and came over. The smile he had on his face disappeared when he saw me.

"Jack, Mark has told me that you two know each other. Is that correct?"

He nodded. "Yes ma'am, it is."

"Do you mind if he is the one to show you around and how to work here correctly?" she asked him.

"I'm comfortable with it," he said only.

"Then I will leave you two alone," she said, then headed towards her office,

Jack and I stared at each other awkwardly. I desperately wanted to ask what he was doing here, but he immediately ignored the situation.

"So what am I supposed to do? All I know if how to take the order of the drinks, but I have no idea how to make them," he said.

I sighed, not wanting to argue in a public place.

"Follow me," I said heading over towards the bar.

*Since I'm a lazy author, I'm going to skip forward to Mark is finishing teaching Jack how to make certain drinks*

"Do you think you can do all of that?" I ask.

He nodded. "I think so."

I watched as he grabbed the drinks he needed and headed back to the table he was previously at. He smiled, placing the glasses on the table. I noticed as one of the females placed her hand on Jack's arm, then giving him a piece of paper.

I laughed to myself, knowing exactly what that meant. Hell, I'm pretty sure everyone does.

He came back, folding the paper and placing it in his back pocket. Without hesitation, I asked, "Are you going to call her?"

He looked up at me, surprised, "How did you know that's what she gave me?"

I shrugged looking away. "I don't. I just took a lucky guess.

He made a humming noise in response then said, "Well if you must know, no I will not be calling her."

I turned away and went to cleaning the glasses. I made a little glance at him to see he was looking at me.

"What?" I harshly said.

He didn't look taken back. "Why did you start working here Mark?"

I shrugged. "Don't worry about it."

He sighed. "Is that your phrase now?

I changed the subject. "How long are you going to work?"

"Why do you care?" he said, annoyed.

"Jack, I need to know," I practically begged.

I honestly didn't want Jack to view that I was one of the strippers for the night show. I knew he would be disappointed to see it.

"I already know what you do here," he whispered. "Ava told me what everyone does here."

"Jack, you have to understand that-" I tried to explain why I took the job, and how I didn't want the spot in the first place, but he stopped me.

"I'm not allowing you to stay here much longer Mark. We're going to find you another job," he said, determined. Then he walked away.

I shook my head, not understanding what he meant by that. However, I knew he wasn't going to pull me out of this job. I don't care if he was trying to help me, this is the only thing I could do.
