Lana's POV

She smiled to herself as she sat on the ground, strumming her guitar under the shade of the blooming cherry blossom trees. She had been enamored with Japan ever since they landed and tried to make every minute of their two week stay worth while.

This morning, she had woken up earlier than usual, and, finding herself unable to go back to sleep, she changed and took her guitar to the small park outside of their hotel. The weather was beautiful, not to warm and not too chilly, the pond in front of her had dozens of koi fish swimming in it and she was more than content to sip on her cup of jasmine tea as she composed a new song.

After Asia, it would be Australia and back to Europe. She didn't know what was to happen after that. She was already signed to SyCo and had a five year deal, she had Zayn in her life and everything seemed perfect. But she didn't know what to do anymore. She had achieved her dream. Now, there wasn't a dream to chase anymore.

A rustle in the grass behind her caught her attention and she turned to find a smiling Zayn. "Good Morning." He said with a sleepy smile.

"Morning. You're up rather early." She said with a smile as her boyfriend pecked her on the cheek.

"I couldn't sleep right without you there." He said cheekily

She laughed and brought her attention back to her guitar. Everything was quiet except for the whistling breeze and the soft music until Zayn began to talk.

"Lana?" He asked.

She paused and turned to look at him, finding that the other four boys were standing behind him with bright smiles on their faces.

"Boys!" She exclaimed "I didn't expect you to be up this early."

"They didn't want to, but I needed to have them next to me if I chicken out." Zayn said with a wry smile.

"What are you going on about now, Malik?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"I'm going on about this." He said, and to her surprise, he got down on one knee and brought out a small, velvet covered jewelry box.

Before she could process what he was doing, the four boys broke out into song. It took her a moment to realize that the song was the one they wrote together, the one Zayn wrote for her.

"Lana Ray, Right from the start, I knew that you were special. I knew that you would have a place in my heart. You told me you were broken, and I did my best to fix you. I've never, never met anyone like you before and I want to prove to you that what I feel is real. I'll be there when you're feeling lost, and I'll catch you when you fall.

"So, I hope you'll say yes when I ask you to be mine, not just now, or for the next year, but for the rest of our lives. Lana Ray, will you marry me?" He said, and flicked the box open, revealing a beautiful white gold ring, topped with diamonds surrounding a dark red ruby the color of her hair.

"Zayn, don't you think we're still a bit young?" She said, even though she wanted to kiss him and say the words he wanted to hear.

The Bradford boy smiled "I don't care if we get married tomorrow, or in the next ten years. I just want to know that you'll be mine." He said sweetly.

"Then, yes. Of course I'll marry you." She extended her hand and Zayn slipped on the ring, which fit perfectly on her finger.

And right then and there, under the shade of a cherry blossom tree, with tears in her eyes, she became engaged to Zayn Malik.

Zayn's POV

He still couldn't belive he was engaged. He was engaged. He was engaged.

The first person he had called to tell the good news was his mother. And even if she was wary of how young they were, she supported his judgement and gave her congratulations. His mother loved Lana to bits, even though they had only met a coupl or so times. And Zayn was happy that hi mother approved.

The second person he called was Paul Higgins. Of course, being Zayn's manager, he got straight to the fact that this would affect his career greatly, but when Zayn said he didn't care, Paul sighed and congratulated him, saying that he would be arranging an engagement party for when they got back to Europe.

The next thing they talked about was if Zayn wanted the news to be released to the press. And, after talking to Lana, he agreed to air it. The two thought that the fans would know sooner or later, and would want to know if Zayn was unavailable.

And, after everything was settled, Zayn lay down on his bed next to his fiance and fell asleep.
