Third person
Scott went to school for the rest of the week. He felt guilty about not seeing Vincent, but hoped he would understand.
The brunette walked to the forest since it was Saturday and he had time. He wasn't exactly sure what to say. He hadn't talked to Vincent since Monday. Scott would just have to explain that he can't always miss school.
He slowly made his way through the trees. He had forgotten some of the way since it had been several days, but he still got where he needed to go.
"Vincent! It's me, Scott!" He called out, seeing the Naga wasn't in his cave home.
The brunette wasn't exactly sure what to do. Vincent could be anywhere in the forest. It would take Scott forever to find him.
The only other place the brunette knew of in the forest was the stream they visited on the night they first met. He wasn't too sure of the way, but he figured he could manage.
He walked through the trees, looking for anything that seemed familiar. It was dark when they went to the stream, so nothing was ringing any bells for the brunette.
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. Surely the stream couldn't have been far, or so he hoped. Everything just seemed like he'd gone in a circle.
The brunette feared that he was lost. He should have just stayed by the cave and waited for Vincent to return, then he wouldn't be lost.
Every passing second seemed to be like hours to the brunette. He was beginning to panic, which was never a good thing to do. He ran frantically through the trees, looking for anything that could help.
Scott tripped over the roots of a tree and crashed into the ground. His breathing was hitched from the adrenaline coursing through his veins and the pain throbbing through his body.
Nothing seemed familiar, everything just seemed new. Why had Scott even bothered to come back? Vincent didn't really care that much about him, did he? He was just a weak little human, why would the Naga care?
The brunette stayed down on the ground, staring up at the sky. It seemed to be so far away, yet so close at the same time. How could something like that be possible? It was all based on how you looked at it. That's what Scott always found interesting.
He sighed, now accepting the fact that he was completely lost. He was going to rot in this forest for all eternity because he wasn't smart enough to stay put.
Scott, the smartest boy in school, had made the dumbest mistake in the town's history: he went into the forest. But not only did he go into the forest once, no. This was his third time in the forest. He tested his luck and took the risks. Now he was paying the price.
Most people would think he deserved it, playing around in such places. But that wasn't true. Scott knew the truth: there was nothing to be scared of in the woods.
He hoped Vincent would be able to find him soon, or he just might be lost forever.
