It took Ashley days to find the facility where Andy was being kept. Being a man of the status he was, he had connections in law enforcement. That came in handy. Ashley arrived at the building and stood outside, taking a moment to call a friend of his on the force.

Thankfully, they arrived within 10 minutes.
Ashley didn't hesitate in running in as soon as they bust the front door down. He searched every room, opening every single door and freeing every single person and creature he found locked up.

When he finally came upon the room Andy was locked up in, his love was already too weak to move. He laid there on the cold floor, a ball of white fur. Ashley knelt down to his level and pet the top of his head gently, smiling sadly. Andy lifted his head to gaze up at Ashley, blue eyes drained of energy.

"Oh, sweetheart... I'm here now." Ashley breathed, pulling the weak creature up into his lap. "Andy, baby, I'm so sorry, I should have gone with. I should have been there, and I wasn't."
Andy blinked slowly, pushing himself to sit up a bit.
"Oh, sh, sh, no, don't push it. You're weak... I'll carry you. C'mon." Ashley whispered, standing back up and picking up the white wolf into his arms. Andy laid limply against his chest, watching the floor pass under him as Ashley left the facility building.
He felt himself get set in the back seat of a car and lifted his head just enough to see it was the back of a cop car. He saw the barred barrier that was set up between the front and back seats and began to panic, whimpering and trying to scamper away. Ashley suddenly grabbed him into his arms, which seemed to calm Andy a bit. He missed Ashley's touch...

"It's okay... They're taking us home. It's going to be okay. We're going home and you're gonna see the kids again." Ashley murmured. Andy closed his eyes, trying to think about his little babies.

All he could think about was the mass about needles and injections and tests. The lab coats, the smell of chemicals and blood, the blinding lights. The shocks, the restraints, the cages. The food, or lack there of.

He hadn't seen his fingers, his toes, his black hair, his legs- he hadn't been human in... what, 3 days? 4?
He'd either been too weak to go back to his human form, or.. he couldn't. Did they do something to him to make him stuck as a wolf forever?
Ashley seemed to be just as worried. Andy had never been this still; he'd never been this jumpy. What did they do to him..? What did they do to his mate?

Andy was carried inside their home when they arrived. By that time, it was past sundown. All of the kids were sleeping, in sleeping bags on the floor of the living room. Ashley stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked at Daniel, who sat on the couch half-asleep.
"What's all this?" Ashley asked quietly, as to not wake the kids.
Daniel lifted his head and smiled a bit. "They insisted on sleeping down here to wait for you."
Ashley smiled fondly and looked at Andy, who was still in his arms.

"You hear that, sweetheart? They've been waiting for you." He murmured. Andy opened his eyes and looked at his children, seemingly all peacefully asleep. Ashley then proceeded to carry Andy up the stairs, putting him down on their shared bed. Andy snuggled down into the warmth of the sheets and closed his eyes. "Sleep, my love." Ashley sighed softly and then left the room again, presumably to relieve Daniel of his babysitting duties.

The next morning came soon, but not soon enough. For Ashley, at least. Andy was out in an instant, while Ashley sat awake, unable to sleep. He worried about Andy. He worried that this would only strengthen the amount of trauma and tension Andy was already battling with. Would Andy ever be the same again? Would he ever be happy again?

Thankfully, though, he looked up to see his lovely mate descend from the stairs. His walking seemed wobbly and unsteady, possibly from the lack of use over the past week, but he was up and he was moving and he was ever so beautiful...
Ashley stood and rushed to the stairs, catching him as he saw his love stumble off the last step. "Andy, you're up!" He beamed happily, hugging him close. "Are you okay? You're actually human again, I thought for sure- How?"
Andy looked at him and gave him a sleepy smile. "I woke up like this." He did a weak hair flip, earning a slight chuckle from Ashley.

"Alright, Beyoncé." Ashley teased and helped him to the couch. "You feel okay?"

Andy sat down and shrugged. "I guess..." He looked around, going silent. He stared at the kids with an odd look of concern and regret in his eyes. "I'm sorry... They said if I tried to escape they'd come after all of you..."

Ashley quickly sat by him and pulled him to his chest. "Oh, sh... sh, no, Andy. It's okay. See? You're home with us, now. The people who took you are locked up for good."
Andy buried his face into his mate's chest. "Promise? Promise everything will be okay now?"

Ashley kissed his forehead gingerly. "Yes, my love. I promise, and I will do everything in my power to fulfill that promise."
