You were Bucky and Steve's best friend. You met them at the age of six and you've been friends with them ever since.

Dang, who knew?

All the planes we flew

Good things we've been through

That I'll be standing right here talking to you

I know we loved to hit the road and laugh

But something told me that it wouldn't last

Had to switch up

Look at things different, see the bigger picture

Those were the days

Hard work forever pays

You and Steve were devastated when Bucky told the two of you that he enlisted into the army. Both you and Steve wanted to help America. So you both volunteered yourselves to be experimented on.

The three of you were ecstatic to be reunited once again. The generals sent the three of you onto many missions. The three of you were the dream team.

"Hold on Bucky!" You cried. You were holding onto the side of the freight car. Bucky was clutching onto your hand while dangling beneath you. Steve was inching across the side of the train to try to reach you and Bucky.

"Save yourself Y/N," he whispered.

"NO!" you yelled at him. "I can get us out of this!"

"Take care of that punk Steve, okay Y/N?" he asks softly before letting go of your hand.

"NO!!" you scream. Steve grabs you from around the waist and pulls you inside the train. He pulls you into a tight hug.

"This is all my fault Steve," you whimper into his chest. "I'm sorry Steve."

"It's okay Y/N," he whispers in your hair.

"We'll see him again."

First you both go out your way

And the vibe is feeling strong

And what's small turn to a friendship

A friendship turn to a bond

And that bond will never be broken

You and Steve started to date a few weeks after Bucky's death. Whenever you had a nightmare, he would crawl into your bed and hold you until you fell asleep. You missed Bucky miserably. He wasn't just a friend. He was family.

You had gotten injured on a previous mission so they sent Steve onto a mission by himself.

"I have to do this Y/N," he replies sadly. "I can't let these people die."

"Give us your coordinates Steve," you said. He didn't reply.

"Steve?" you said softly.

"I love you Y/N," he answered. "I'll see you again."

"Steve? Steve!" you sobbed.
