Lucifer would sigh and shake his head. "Don't mind it, just..what's wrong?" She'd sigh and would stop holding her door to close it, letting him keep it open. "I just can't believe Derek would be that way..he's always been so nice and caring to me..how could he just.." Lucifer would sigh. "He was just an everyday guy who can never have enough.." She would eye him. "You really think so..?" He'd eye her feeling a bit guilty, not truly knowing what to say. He'd nod hesitantly. She'd chuckle wiping her gaze once more. "I didn't think you actually had feelings." He'd raise a brow. Feelings, this is what they were called. Usually he'd not care for anything, something was off. He wasn't feeling the need to overpower anything. "Heh yeah." She'd give a light smile. "Well, I'll sleep better now." She'd put her hand back on the door before gently closing it. Lucifer would allow her to before staring at the wooden barrier. "Hm...is this what they meant by don't get attached..?" He'd sit back on the cot eyeing the window to his right.
Chey would turn over in her light sleep before sighing. Nothing, no sleep. She couldn't get her mind away from Derek even though she'd listened to Lucifer's words. "Lucifer?" She'd call a bit, hoping he wasn't asleep quite yet. He'd glance over to her door before opening it. "Yeah?" She'd sigh. "I can't stop thinking about it.." She'd waver a bit in her sentence. He'd walk over hesitantly and would sit on the edge of her bed. "Well..it isn't going to be easy to get over erm, this is like a phase of a breakup. The er, sad stage." He'd furrow his brows at his own words. She'd nod slightly before tearing up a bit. "O-Okay.." he'd eye her. "Oh I didn't mean to make you cry.." he'd say quietly. She'd shake her head before scooching over and leaning her head on his shoulder. "It isn't your fault..you were the one trying to protect me.." She'd sniffle slightly. He'd be a bit startled but would let her cry on his shoulder. "I just hate seeing genuine people get hurt.." he'd breathe before pushing some hair from her face. "You need to sleep though. No rest won't do you well." Chey would nod slightly and sit up, wiping her gaze. "Yeah..sorry heh." He'd chuckle a bit. "I'll be just outside.." he'd stand. "Night." He'd walk out of her room and close the door. She'd eye the now closed door and would curl her knees up. "O-Okay, night.." he'd lean on the wall outside, waiting. She'd look to the window and then back at the door. "Luc-" He'd open the door immediately. "Hm?" She'd be slightly startled but would slide off the bed, heading over and hugging him. He'd tense up before looking down at her. "Heh.." He'd slowly hug her back. She'd eye the wall, still hugging him. "Thanks for being a good friend.." he'd nod lightly. "Frie- mhm..sure thing." He didn't understand why the word set him off. Friend. The sound of it, coming from her, annoyed him. His thoughts cleared a bit allowing him to realize. She'd let him go and would eye him. "So er..there room..on the cot...?" He'd tense a bit but nodded. She'd grab a blanket and would head out of the room before laying on the cot. He'd follow her over and would lay down a bit aways. Sleeping with her? Not in the sexual tense but..why did she want to stay here? With him..? She'd eye him tilting her head a bit. "Hey..you good?" He'd shrug. "Just confused on why you want to stay with me is all.." she'd cuddle closer. "I just feel safe.." he'd eye her before turning onto his side, pulling her closer. It felt instinctual. She'd doze off quickly enjoying the extra warmth. He'd push some hair from her face. "Find someone else to rule hell dad...you know I'm not letting go easy..."
