Chey would push away from the hug, only slightly. "Alright, we really should be going though if we want to even find a place for lunch. The mid-day traffic is awful." She'd chuckle. He'd nod slightly but would keep her in the hug. "Fine but, don't stray far today. Like from me." She'd raise a brow. "Is something going to happen with the mark?" He'd eye her. "No not the mark or-" he'd chuckle. "I mentally marked you remember, I just can't risk them hurting you or yeah." She'd nod. "Alright then. I'll stay close by." He'd give a slight smile before letting her go. "I'm surprised by myself for having a strong connection to anyone..I secluded my feelings from everyone.." She'd tilt her head. "You just needed someone to give them to?" He'd eye her. "Sort of like that. Nobody really ever took them with consideration..just left them behind..left me behind.." She'd furrow her brow lightly. "Well for as long as I'm here I'll be sure to cherish them." He'd smile a bit more. "I trust you.." he'd glance to the clock. "But I don't trust we're to make it to a restaurant fast enough." He'd laugh. She'd eye the time before rushing into her room. "Give me a couple minutes!" She'd close the door. He'd chuckle and would sit on the cot waiting. He was rather eager as well. What was his father planning exactly. He'd asked this mentally many a time. He'd sigh before pushing some hair from his face. "Chey-" "I'm ready!" She'd rush from her room having changed and brushed out her hair. "Can't go out in public looking like I just woke up." He'd raise a brow. "I thought it looked fine." She'd roll her gaze before grabbing her keys. "Just c'mon." He'd shrug, chuckling and would follow. "Alrighty m'lady." He'd tease.

Uriel would return to the stronghold and would sigh. "Father he has marked a mortal..he has refused to come back to hell.." he'd crumple a piece of paper in his hands. "He can not stay there..he can not stay with that mortal..it's against all odds..."

Chey would open her car door and would get in, Lucifer getting in the passenger. She'd start the car but stayed put for a moment. "So we could either hit the Tavern in town or The Cabana on the boardwalk." Lucifer would glance over. "Whatever has less people crowding you away." He'd sit back in his seat seeming rather literal. He didn't want her to be out of his sight today, not with the tension Uriel now brought. Chey would chuckle. "Fine fine, The Cabana it is." She'd back from the parking spot. He'd eye out the window before turning his gaze back to her. "So, I don't plan to go anywhere, I already said this but..Uriel is insisting I go back to hell soon, apparently traveling to the mortal world did not help..well their cause at least." Chey would glance over as she drove. "Why are they so uptight about it all..?" He'd shrug. "I don't have any idea actually heh, they hate the idea of me having feelings apparently." She'd chuckle. "Anyone has a right and reason to feelings..kind of absurd to want to restrain you." He'd nod. "Yeah, yes exactly!" He'd sit up. "Someone gets it." He'd chuckle. She'd give a light smile. "It's just a given right.." He'd nod. "Mhm. And I will not have it taken from me now that I finally found someone to put it towards." She'd tense a bit trying to stay calm. "Well I'm glad I could help heh.." he'd raise a brow. "I know you still are really uptight about it all..and I feel like you still feel as if you're a pawn.." She'd sigh and would pull into the Cabana parking lot. "Well..considering I'm known as 'a mortal' to Mr. Brightwings.." he'd chuckle. "That's and new name for him." She'd give a small laugh before continuing. "I just feel as if this is going to fade or-" "Chey I promise I'm not leaving, I will stay here for as long as possible. I will protect what we have from Uriel and anyone who tries to take it.." She'd eye him. "You really are different from all the stories we heard as a kid.." he'd chuckle. "Yeah. I get that a lot. The evil doer in this world isn't me. I don't control your decisions. All I do is punish those who make bad choices once they reside in hell." She'd tilt her head. "So you just bring justice..?" He'd nod. "Yeah pretty much. I can be kind too. People just 'glorify' me as evil.." She'd chuckle. "Well to me you're anything but." He'd nod with a slight grin and would get out of the car, as well as Chey. "So, what else might I need to know food dish?" He'd tease. She'd roll her gaze chuckling. "About?" He'd shrug. "Well anything, mostly you though." She'd think. "Hm..well I do tend to pull all nighters if there are tests, or come home a hectic mess." He'd chuckle. "Okay okay but like, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?" She'd walk into the restaurant. "Well I do like to go to the beach a lot. Ever since I was little my family would come up here on vacation." He'd nod. "So do you guys still come up here all together?" She'd shake her head. "Once in awhile yeah, my mom is all tied up with my new baby sister though so we haven't lately. And papa has been on constant business trips. Despite the separation we all get along really well however." He'd chuckle. "Seems neat. So I'm guessing you came to college here to be able to go to the beach?" She'd tilt her head. "Heh kind of. Mostly this was also the only college that accepted me with a full paid scholarship." He'd laugh a bit. "Ah I see." The host would seat them shortly after the wait buzzer rang. "So how about we go to the beach later too?" She'd shrug. "I'm fine with that. The town can be saved for another day after all. You aren't going anywhere." She'd tease. He'd nod smiling. "Yup, I'm staying right here.."
