My next class was with Morris and Jerome. It's always torture for the teacher because he can never seem to get through an entire class without interruption. Poor Mrs. Cohen. I knew she wanted to retire so bad after this year because of them. It's only the first day of classes and already they were trying to run the teachers to an early grave. As I sat in the back of the classroom while they were acting a fool Mrs. Cohen raised her voice ever so slightly at Morris.

"Mr. Day would you be willing to teach the class a thing or two about the square root of pie?"

Morris was hesitant at first to give an answer but he gave one anyway.

"No-not exactly ma'am." He sputtered out.

"Good then you might wanna zip it if you don't want a failing grade." She said with a snarky attitude.

Morris was a little embarrassed and slumped down in his desk. As she began to teach the first unit of the marking period my mind began to trail off as thoughts of what Prince had told me began to make me lose complete focus on the lesson. He seemed pretty convinced that Wilson was bad news. But why? Why was he so concerned about my love life all of a sudden? Sometimes Prince can take the whole "I love you like a brother" idea way too seriously. Maybe I should find Rachel after class. She's been a good friend of mine since last year and so far she's never let her advice fail me. Rachel Grossman was two years younger than me but because she skipped kindergarten and first grade she's going to graduate with me. She was named Minnesota's smartest prodigy in the local paper a few years back for solving what was once one of the hardest mathematics equations known to man. She was really intelligent knowledge wise but when it came to love it was hit or miss. Even though she was 14 she still had a lot to learn about the world. She also likes the idea of being friends with someone who's also friends with Prince. I will never understand why she has a thing for him. I can't see him any other way other than my annoying best friend and brother by association. Class finally was over and sure enough I would find Rachel standing at her locker applying a think layer of lip balm on her already shiny lips.

"Hey Rache!" I said approaching her just as she closed her locker.

"Hey Regan! How was your summer? Did you go out and party?" She asked doing a little dance.

I giggled as I watched this pretty strawberry blonde white girl boogie down like she was a cage dancer on an episode of soul train.

"No I didn't do much partying but I did spend a lot of time with you favorite man all summer."

Her face lit up like the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.

"Oh my god you did? Regan you're so lucky. How are you friends with that caramel hunk of man. If I were you I would be taking advantage every chance I got."

"Rachel you're 14 years old! Stop being such a fast ass! Maybe when your 16 you can do that but not now. It's weird."

Rachel didn't want to hear any of it as she shook her head and waved her hand at me.

"Stop treated me like I'm a baby I know enough about sex and how it works. Besides I don't want to have sex with him. I just want to touch him. Jerk him off on a good day maybe."

I felt my stomach doing flip flops.

"God please stop. That's the last thing I need to hear from you about him. Ugh!"

Rachel laughed as she pushed her lip balm back into her pocket.

"It's not his fault! I heard that he's really blessed below the belt. I just wanna know if the rumors are true."

"Well I wouldn't know anything about that but I will say that he's not that type of guy."

"What do you mean?"

"Well Prince is picky about his girls. He likes them young and pretty but he also likes them with common sense."

"I have common sense! I'm young and pretty!"

I giggled as Rachel beamed with happiness.

"Just because you're book smart doesn't always mean you use common sense. Remember last year when you thought it would be funny to stick dynamite inside principal Hickler's tail pipe?"

"What? I didn't light it! And it was the end of the year joke."

"Yeah but you could have blown his car up!"

She thought about it for a moment and realized that I was right.

"Ok that was stupid but that was last year. I've changed a lot since then."

"Oh really? Then prove it. There he is now."

I pointed at Prince who was just up the hall behind her talking to a few of the guys from the basketball team.

"HEY PRINCE!" I shouted getting his attention causing Rachel to uncontrollably blush and fix her hair.

He left his friends and came our direction. He walked with confidence as he got closer.

"Hey what's up mouse?" He said as he looked over at Rachel who was trying to hide her smile.

"I want you to meet my friend Rachel. Rachel this is Prince."

Rachel was so stunned that she let out a loud grunting laugh as she stuck her hand out to shake his. Prince couldn't help but smile as he took her hand and softly kissed it.

"How are you sweet thing?" He asked a now fading Rachel.

She suddenly went pale and passed out in front of us.

"Gee Nelson thanks you killed her." I giggled.

"Nah I did no such thing. She's prettier when she's asleep in my opinion." He joked.

"Oh shut up and help me get her up from the floor before somebody steps on her." I said.

We picked her from the floor and took her to a chair that was sitting outside the assistant principals office.

"You handle that I gotta get to class. Don't forget the gig tonight." He said.

"Skipper I know! You're only gonna remind me during free period anyway."

"You're right! And I'll keep reminding you until it's time to get there tonight." He giggled.

I shook my head as he went to class. Rachel was finally coming to.

"Wha-what happened?" She asked.

"You shook Prince's hand and fell out!" I laughed.

She was in pure shock as embarrassment took over her.

"Oh my god! He saw me do that?" She said burying her face in her hands.

"Yeah. But he said you were pretty so I guess that's a bonus."

Rachel stood up and put her book bag on her back.

"Let's just get to class before I do another stupid thing today."

We laughed all the way to our next class at the moment my poor young friend just had.
