is abashing and embarrassing
especially when you never liked
them anyway, in any way

The Friendzone is an insult
when you know they like you too
but they're too afraid of themselves
to see the truth unfold before them

Sending someone to the Friendzone
is easier, it's a way of protection,
a way to escape from heartache,
yours and theirs

The Friendzone can barely be escaped
only by the bravest of souls
and those pure of heart
may breach the walls of Friendzone,
yet they might fall mightily and face the wrath of rejection
