Lauren's POV
I found myself in a beautiful forest, the moon was glowing and it was amazing. I found myself wandering around and enjoying the scene,then I saw her, the girl that I had no clue was, she wouldn't turn around but continued to walk through the forest and I felt a pull so I followed her. She glowed like the sun and I tried to catch up to her "hey wait up" I started running but for some reason I couldn't get closer, in fact it seemed like I was getting farther "Camz come back" I didn't know why I called this girl that but it felt right so I didn't care "Camz wait!' I continued running trying hard to reach her but I couldn't, her wavy brown hair shimmered in the breeze, and then I was falling.
My eyes jump open and I shoot up breathing heavily and covered in sweat "aw holy crap Lauren can you please let me out of your death grip" I look over and let out a sigh that I didn't realize I was holding in as I see my younger sister Taylor squirming as my hand is wrapped tightly around her wrist. "Sorry" I mumble as I let go and pull myself out of bed "it's fine it happens, by the way whose Camz?' I look at her shocked, seeing my face she sighs "you were mumbling that name in your sleep" I node in understanding "I um I'm not sure, weird dream" I was telling the truth for awhile I've had that same dream and I had no clue who this "Camz was" but for some reason in the back of my mind I felt like I did. "Ok then, anyways mom says to hurry up, your almost late for your first day of the new school" Taylor then leaves, ugg I almost forgot mom pulled me out of Dark Mist high and into Miami Mist Academy or MMA for short, I didn't understand why but thank god I wasn't the only one. I rummaged through my closet and pulled out a pair of black ripped jeans, a black v-neck, my favourite beanie and my leather jacket then ran downstairs. "Morning mija" mom and Taylor were the only ones downstairs since Chris and dad both worked now "hey, I'll grab a snack on the way, bye" I grabbed my bag and slipped on my shoes "no stray animals" I groan "it was a squirrel and not stray!' I shout before slipping out the door. I started walking when I felt a sudden breeze "I see your moms still not over your accidental side snack from last week" I smile at my favourite Australian vamp Lexa, she and I have been friends since I was 10 and she and I are proof that werewolves and vamps can in fact get along. "Sadly no but hey I get hungry after I blow off steam, it's not my fault fucking Mahone had to test my patience" she starts laughing "well I hope he learned his lesson" "ya he better have, God how I hate demons their egos are bigger then fucken hydra brothers at full form" Lexa nodes "yup those guys freak me out".
We finally get to the new school, I still didn't understand why I was sent here, I mean in this school you got to classes with light mist kids and as much as hate to say it but I think their stuck up being the "good ones" and all. Me and Lexa walk to the office and grab our new schedules and head to our lockers, sadly hers wasn't that close to mine but thankfully we had three periods together "ok I'll see you second period" she sends me an encouraging smile before disappearing, stupid vamp speed. I grab my books and head into first period English, I look around and see that all the seats are taken except two seats in the middle, as I took a seat I immediately could almost tell who was around me, it was weird since I was so used to being surrounded by Dark mist kids that being around light mist kids made me agitated.
The final bell rings and the teacher starts talking "morning class, my name is Mr. Asher and I'll be your English teacher for the year" I roll my eyes at his lousy introduction and the fact that he reeked of light mist, typical. He's about to continue when someone steps into class "ah Ms. Cabello, your late" I look at the girl standing at the door "sorry Mr. Asher, won't happen again" he nodes and she goes to a seat at the very back which I for some reason didn't see. "So class every year there is a peer partnership project in this class, so from this day till the end of the year whoever I seat you beside will be your partner, you job is to get to know each other as much as possible, and by the end of the year I expect a presentation" everyone groans, I was afraid of this. He starts calling names when I hear "Ms. Cabello with Ms. Jauregui" I look and see the girl walk shyly up to the empty desk beside me, crap she was a light mister, so much for me enjoying this. I didn't look at the Cabella girl until the teacher handed out our assignments and when I did I see her glance away, was she staring at me? Strange, after working on the assignment for awhile I grew bored and decided to make the first move "hey light mister, I'm Lauren" I forced a smile on my face as she looks at me "um I'm Karla" I almost groan as I see how beautiful she was "nice to meet you" I say trying hard not to cringe as I was trying to be nice to a light mister, but sadly I think she could tell "oh really, it's not often you dark misters try to actually be nice us light misters, in fact it's almost impossible" she practically hisses at me, I'm shocked at her change of tone and frankly I didn't like it. I let out a low growl "well sorry if me trying is a problem, but then again you light misters are to good for us lowly grovellers, thanks for letting me know you don't appreciate my effort I'll remember for next time. The bell rings and I shoot out of my seat fuming with annoyance, this is ganna be a long year.
