Memories erased, hearts rekindled (Camren/Clexa) (On Hold)

Chapter 9

Camila's POV
After Lauren left I couldn't help but wish she were still here, I'm glad she came to talk to me and I'd never thought that I would be friends with a dark mister, people at school might talk but many dark misters and light misters are friends so it shouldn't matter. I sat down on my bed and pulled out my note book so I could write about her, I always felt at peace when I wrote, weather it was a poem or just a note about things that stood out to me, and God Lauren stood out a lot.

Awhile later I hear a soft knock on my door "come in" I say, I look and see Sophie holding a plate of dinner for me "I brought your dinner Kaki" I smile at the pet name that Sophie had for me ever since she could talk. "Thank you Sophie" I pat the spot beside me indicating for to join me, she happily does "kaki you feeling better?' I take the food from her as she looks at me "ya I'm feeling a lot better, thanks for putting up with me" I pull her into a small tight hug "ooh that's good to hear, did your special friend help you" I almost choke on my drink "u-um what makes you say she special" Sophie was smart for her age so I shouldn't be surprised at her question "well it's because when Clarke and Dinah came over you wouldn't see them and well their your best friends, so your other friend must be special if you let her come and make you feel better" I node my head not sure what to say "so she is special?' She looks at me intently as I thought about it "well Sophie, me and my friend don't know each other well but yes I do think she is special" She smiles "I knew it" I just laugh and enjoy my dinner while Sofie told me about her day.

I was quietly reading since it was late and Sofie had gone to bed when I hear a loud growl in the distance, I figured it was some wolf dark misters since we lived on the border line between both sides of Miami. The growling was still going on so curious as I was I got up and looked out my window, I couldn't see anything but I could sense the direction that the sound was coming from, then I remembered Lauren, she was a wolf and had a meeting today. I started feeling nervous, what if something bad happened at the meeting, is Lauren involved, all these swirled my mind as the growling finally stopped. I sighed then I went back to my bed when moments later I hear a noise in the trees and quickly turn around to look, I couldn't see anything but just as I was about to go I saw them, those unmistakeable forest green eyes, I almost gasped as I knew those were Lauren's eyes, I didn't know why she was here but I relaxed a bit, clearly something happened and I knew tomorrow I would figure it out.

The next morning I quickly got ready and before I ran down my stairs I peeked out my window, an unsurprisingly I see Lauren coming out from the trees and shifting back to normal as her friend was there. I couldn't help but stare at her, her wolf was amazing and seeing her for some reason made my heart flutter. I quickly jump out of my daze as I her mom "mija, your ganna be late for school" "coming mama" I rush downstairs and give her a hug and a kiss before heading out the door. "Took you long enough" Dinah sighs but I knew she was just teasing, I turn and see Lauren and smile "oh hey Lauren and um Lexa" I felt odd addressing her, I knew Lauren explained why she freaked out but it still didn't make me feel any less uncomfortable, she smiles and I can tell she was nervous "hey Camila" "what's up wolfie" I hold hack a giggle at the way Dinah addresses Lauren "Dinah please don't call me that and I'm going to um change" I look at Lauren knowing why she had to go change "ok well I'll talk to you later" I smile at her before me, Dinah and Clarke walk off.
"Well I see you and Lauren must have had a good talk" Dinah sends me a wink and I just roll my eyes, "how bout you princess Griffin" I look at Clarke curiously, she hadn't said a word since Lauren's house "huh what" Clarke looks up startled "looks like Princess has been day dreaming, let me guess it's Lexa ain't it?' Dinah pokes Clarke teasingly "what no, of course not" I give Dinah a look and she just laughs to herself. I knew Clarke had a crush on Lexa but she was afraid of how I would feel since what happened but honestly it would be cute but at the same time I wasn't sure if the counsel would allow it.

Soon we arrived at school and parted ways, once I got to first period I took a seat beside Lauren who had not shown up yet, I couldn't help but wonder why she was in my backyard last night it was strange but I'm sure she would explain. Just as the bell rang I saw Lauren speed into her seat "wow just in time" I smile as she looked like she just ran a marathon "ya wolf speed comes in handy at desperate times" she sighs as she smiles back, the teacher talks for a bit but soon let's is chat with our partners. "So care to explain why you were camping out in my backyard last night" I raise an eyebrow at her as she looks surprised but it changes to embarrassment "um well the meeting didn't turn out great so I needed air, your house seemed peaceful so I stayed there, sorry if it seemed weird I won't do it again if it freaks you out" she finishes quickly I shrug "it's fine I was just curious, and that meeting must have been really bad, I heard the noise from my house, you ok?' I look at her a bit concerned. "Ya I'm totally fine, just lost my temper nothing unusual, don't worry about it" I notice she avoided eye contact with me as she explained and I knew she was lying but I wouldn't press her further at least not yet, soon we switched topics "so um you think we can hang out after school or something, we still have to do that project" she looks at me nervously and I smile "ya of course, how bout today at um my house?' She nodes "ya your house would be best" I giggle as the bell rings "ok then we'll I'll see you in art class" we pick up our stuff and with one last glance we part ways.

  The day went by and I actually enjoyed it, Lexa had come to talk to me and honestly I'm glad we did she seems like a great friend to Lauren and I hope maybe we could be to. It was last period and I was really anxious to finish up so that I can get ready for when Lauren came over, I was literally bouncing in my seat "hey Cabello, did you gets asked out on a date or something because I've never seen you so excited? I turn around and see Normani smirking at me "oh hey Normani I didn't realize you returned back to school" Normani was another one of my friends but I never see her that much anymore since she's always traveling due to her abnormalities, she's the only child born in centuries that didn't have a classification as just a dark mister or just a light mister, she in fact was both. No one really knows how it happened she's never really spoke about it but it's crazy, the council didn't know what to think of the situation, so that's why she travels a lot, to keep off the radar of the council and because of her parents. "Oh ya I got back last night, so who's the lucky boy?' I look at her confused but then forgot about her earlier question "oh no it's no date" she raises an eyebrow "so what is it then, milz your not making any sense", the final bell rings and I jump up grab my books "I'll text you about it later, bye mani, glad you're back" with that I run out the room and make a quick dash to my locker.
"Someone seems in a rush, what's going on Walz" DJ was waiting at my locker "oh nothing I'm just happy schools finally done" I quickly pack my stuff and get ready to leave "Walz I see right through you, it's about Lauren isn't" it wasn't a question but trying hard not to blush I send her a small node "oooo I knew it, my Chancho's getting it" DJ starts laughing and pokes me teasingly "no I'm not getting anything Dinah Jane, we're just hanging out because we're partners for an English project, now if you don't mind I gotta go" I quickly dash down the hall "ok have fun but not to much, I'll be checking in!" I groan as DJ waves at me laughing.
   I wasn't looking where I was going so as I ran out the doors I tripped but for some reason I felt no impact "whoa, careful" I look and see that Lauren outta nowhere had caught me , she had her arm wrapped firmly but gentle around my waist "oh um sorry, thank you" I smile nervously "no problem, seems like your in a rush to get home any reason why?' She looks at me curiously "oh no I just wanted to make sure I was ready for when you um came over" I was trying not to turn red as she was still gripping my waist "oh I can give you a ride if you want, if it's ok I can come over now" I liked the idea but I wanted to freshen up, but I guess I'd be fine "ya sure, where's your car?' She finally lets go and I sigh in relief "oh I don't have a car, I have this bad boy" she smiles proudly as she walks me over to a midnight black slick motorcycle "wow, um I've never rode one before, is it safe?' She laughs "ya just hold on tight and out this on"she hands me a helmet and hopped on the bike. "Ok I'm ready" I wrap my arms around her waist and hold tight "ok let's go".

Hey guys I'm so so sorry for the extremely late update, things have been absolutely crazy these past couple months and I've been put under a lot of emotional stress but from now on I'm ganna try to update more often but if I don't please be patient with me, you guys rock so stay awesome ❤️
