It'd been two full months of Rudd and his family taking over my time with wedding plans. I'd still nelegected to mention I was married during that time period. It just hadn't come up naturally. It seemed almost to late to say it. It wasn't as if I planned on anything happening with Rudd anyway.
I was sitting in my studio as Rudd's family left, but he stayed behind. I looked up from my work with a smile. "What's up?"
"Nothing," he turned around to leave then abruptly spun back to me. His hands planted firmly on the top of the chair across from mine. He let out a deep breath with a serious face. "No, I wanted to invite you to a party tonight. It's a bunch of the guys from high school. I mentioned running into you and they said you should come."
I grinned it'd be nice to see people from high school again, "Yeah, sure. Let me just grab my bag."
I turned around and started filing things away. I shuffled papers around and threw a few select things into my purse. I felt my elbow grabbed and yanked gently on, forcing me to spin around and land in Rudd's toned arms. Surprisingly toned. I didn't remember his arms like this.
But none of that mattered once I felt his lips press firmly against mine. I'd missed kissing- correction, I missed kissing Alex. It'd been three months since I'd last kissed Alex and because of that Rudd's soft lips were making my body heat up. I felt his lips travel down my neck and suck and bite. He was leaving a love bite and it felt good. However I was married and what my body should've been missing was Alex's lips. My dry spell was what was actually wrong.I pulled my body back to myself and detangled his arms from my body.
So there we stood. He was breathless and I was shocked. We were barely a foot apart. Nothing else happened between then and the minute later when Alex burst through the door to surprise me. We were still standing there staring at each other. My head was cocked slightly and the only time an eye close for a significant period of time was when Alex walked in and Rudd winced.
"What's going on?" Alex asked and walked over to me. He placed an arm around my shoulder and pulled me in for a kiss.
I smiled when he pulled away. I finally looked at him too. "You're back."
"I'm back, baby," he cleared his throat and turned his head to Rudd, "What are you doing here?"
"Jules is, um, taking pictures for my sister's wedding," Rudd smiled weakily and covered our kiss.
I mouthed a 'thank you' to him. He nodded a 'you're welcome' in my direction and said goodbye to us. I watched him leave before turning back to Alex and jumping onto him. My legs wrapped around his waist and I kissed him.
He immediately backed me onto the desk counters in my office. My butt was hanging of of the edge and his body was inbetween my legs. I was breathing very hard. I'd been totally right before, I did miss kissing, but I missed Alex's kissing even more. He dropped my lips and pecked his down my jawline to my throat, but stopped inbetween my collar bones with his eyes open. He pulled his head back and asked, "What's that?" I shivered when his hot breath hit my wet from his kisses skin.
I looked down at myself, "What's what?"
"That." He said as he flicked his thumb over Rudd's hickey.
