A/N: Forever apologizing about how long it took me to update, but I was in a very bad place emotionally/mentally lately and I had to visit some colleges. Sorry.

I woke up without Alex next to me and frowned. It's not as if we'd discussed our relationship last night, but I'd figured he'd at least stay until the morning. I turned my head to look at his bed for him, but he wasn't there either. My grimace only deepened. Was he that desperate to get away from me? He ran from his own room. I figured Alex would be a gentleman and stay the morning, but no. It's not like I was asking him to propose, just not run out on me-

The bedroom door opened intrupting my bad thoughts about Alex. Alex came walking into the room. I was going to accuss him of how he could come strolling into this room after leaving me until I noticed what was in his hands.

He frowned when he saw me, "Damn, you're up? I was hoping I could at least surprise you."

"With what?" I asked craning my neck to see what was on the good smelling tray in his arms.

He placed the tray on my lap with a board smile. "Happy Birthday!" He exclaimed.

I hmmed with both curiousity being fullfilled and hunger, "So that's where you went."

His eyebrows furrowed, "Yeah. Where did you think I went."

I looked at the tray of eggs, bacon, pancakes, syrup, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. If I didn't know better I'd think he was trying to fatten me up. I chose to dig into the pancakes first. I answered his question while cutting in the fluffy pancakes, "It's better off you don't know." I popped a pancake piece in my mouth.

"Uh-huh," he frowned and I could tell he wasn't pushing the subject simply because it was my birthday. I smiled at him to make him feel better. I took a sip of orange juice and choked on it just as fast. "That's not orange juice," I croaked out.

He laughed, "It's a mimosa. Happy twenty first birthday."

"Thank you, but are you trying to decay my liver or something?" I asked only half joking.

He furrowed his eyebrows, "Strong, huh? I told the guy it was your twenty first." He stole my very alcoholic orange juice to take a sip. He looked up at me surprised, "You made it sound like your liver would be screaming help. It's not too bad."

I grumbled, "It's your rockstar tolerance." I reached for my coffee, but halted my hand just before I could grab it. I raises an eyebrow, "Is the coffee Irish too?"

He smirked, "As Irish as Zack."

I jokingly grinned back, "You trying to get my drunk and take advantage?"

He mockingly fake gasped with a hand over his heart dramatically, "I'll have you know I never take advantage. Everyone wants me. Just ask Jack." He winked.

I rolled my eyes and started eating again. "Good food," I spoke after swallowing a mouth full while pointing toward the plate with my fork.

"You're welcome," he laughed at me.

I blushed, "Oh, yeah. Thanks."

There wasn't even a knock at the door before it flew open with all our friends busting in through it singing happy birthday on the top of their lungs.

"You're twenty one!" Ally jumped to hug me as best she could with the food on my lap. I set the food to the side so I could get up and hug all my friends. When I saw the frown on Alex's face I realized I hadn't hugged him. I would wait until everyone left before I got a chance to hug him.
