Music swam through the apartment as the lounge and bedroom were vacant of anyone's presence. Apollyon stood in the kitchen, cutting vegetables on the cutting board as he softly hummed along to the music playing in the background. The washroom door in the bedroom swung open as Eleanora stepped out in a pair of denim jeans with a grey long sleeves shirt. Brushing her hair, she stepped out of the room and into the kitchen. Her footsteps grabbing Apollyon's attention who smiled adoringly at her.
He looked well. Finally, he was back on track.
He didn't wake up in the middle of the night anymore, screaming and crying. He didn't hold back from Eleanora and grabbed her whenever he felt like it. The dark circles beneath his eyes had gone, his frown was replaced with a smile and his eyes sparkled with mirth.
He looked as good as new.
Eating more and looking after himself along with Eleanora. Seeing the visible change in him, Eleanora became more relaxed and was looking well herself.
Rather full and glowing.
Apollyon reached out towards her as she placed her hand into his waiting palm. Twirling her around, he pulled her to him, her back pressed against his chest as he placed a kiss on her cheek.
"Hey, love." Apollyon greeted with a smile before he turned back towards the food he was frying, moving it around the pan. "How was the check up?"
"Fine." She shrugged as he wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her ear against his shoulder blade. "Dr. Harold was telling me that my health seemed better, and he seemed rather happy with it."
"That's great." Apollyon smiled as he placed a kiss on her temple. "I hope you're hungry because I made fried chicken with rice."
"Yum!" Eleanora exclaimed as she got on her tiptoes and placed a kiss on his cheek. "I'm starved."
"That's great news." Apollyon grinned as he dished it up onto a plate. "Hey, did you finish your homework?"
"Yeah. I managed to get most of it done at school and I only had about two questions left, so I did them once we got home." She informed him as they both settled down at the table and ate the food.
"That's good, you'll be free for the rest of the day."
"I'm 18." Eleanora spoke almost disbelievingly after a long silence. "Wow."
Apollyon chuckled at her as he continued to eat.
"I wanna try alcohol." She continued with determination as she noticed Apollyon's movements faulter for a moment before he continued eating, almost ignoring her comment.
"And why do you wanna do that?" He asked calmly as he continued to eat.
"I don't know," she shrugged almost dismissively. "It just seems cool."
"There is nothing cool about drinking alcohol and getting a hangover in the morning." Apollyon snapped suddenly as she jumped back at his tone. "What I mean to say is; you can't go into a bar because there are going to be a lot of people and a lot of noise which will only result in a headache for you."
"Okay." She nodded in response as she continued to eat her food.
"I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to snap at you." Apollyon apologised as he got up and crouched beside her seat, cupping her chin in his hands as he turned her to be facing him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
"It's okay." She nodded with a soft smile as she placed a peck on his cheek as he chuckled at the action.
"You'll have the full 'finally legal' experience, I promise. Just...be patient." He smiled at her as he rubbed his thumb over her jaw as she smiled at him.
