Time passed without Landon's eyesight improving too much. His glasses took time to have made and shipped into a small town like ours. When they finally arrived to Bridgepoint, it was less than a week from Valentine's day.

I was sitting in my English class, when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out, and noticed that I had an unread message from Landon.

"Guess what! You can now call me 'Four eyes'!"

I sat in my desk, in the middle of a lecture, with a huge smile plastered across my face. this meant that Landon would be able to see, or be close to seeing.

I waited for class to end before heading home, skipping the rest of school. I pulled into my driveway, locked my car, and walked across the lawn towards Landon's house.

Before walking in, I knocked lightly to let them know I was coming in. I saw the whole family in the front room, full of excitement.

"So, I heard there was something good happening!" I said as I slipped off my shoes.

"Well babe, I got my glasses!" Landon laughed.

"So now I'm dating Four Eyes?" I retorted as I slipped my arm around him.

"Yes, and you love it."

"Well, I wanna see these glasses! Put them on!" I said full of the contagious excitement in the room.

"Come on Landon!" Lily interjected.

"Fine, fine! Hand me them." Landon laughed.

Teresa handed him the glasses and Landon took them. He waited for a couple minutes before sliding them on. He blinked a couple times before looking up into the room. I swear I couldn't breathe.

Then I could see it. He could see me. He could see me!
