Chapter Sixteen- Wet Dog Hugs

What a dope. Me a werewolf? Nah. I thought he was smarter than that. I was just using my mind reading and it was just a big coincidence that I glanced over my shoulder when he was there. When he thought that I was werewolf, I decided to trick him. He probably deserves it for the countless times he was rude to people in school, including me.

In school, he and Simon thought Nadia had powers so Simon started asking Avery about her. They were close but had the wrong person. Even if Nadia had powers she wouldn't have told Avery. She might have told me but not her. We have been friends longer and we are closer than she and Avery are.

I wonder if Simon will remember me. I wonder if he remembered Avery. I'm not even sure Avery will remember him. They talked a whole two times. Avery never even saw Derek but I sure had my fair amount of conversations with him, which were not pleasant.

Derek was so confused. It's so funny because I am reading his mind and he doesn't even know. I'm walking ahead of them because I always seem to speed up.

Chloe comes to my side and asks, "How did you know what he said? Mind reading?" with her eyebrows furrowed and head tilted just a bit. Well, that plan is ruined.

I put my palm to my face and shake my head. Derek speeds up and says, "Wait you are a mind reader? Not a werewolf?" Chloe's eyes widened. "Wait you thought she was a was a werewolf?" She asked bursting out laughing.

Derek glared at her. "Have you been reading my thoughts?" He growled and crossed his arms. "What? No." I say nervously. He raised his eyebrows and rolled his eyes.

He will be the death of me. I start running away and he grabs my arm, "What did you mean by what you said earlier. Who are you? Tell me now." I glare at him.

"No." I stuck out my tongue then ripped his fingers off of me and ran away. "Morgan!" he growled. "What?" I yell pretty loudly at him to make his ears ring. He gave me a scowl and I gave him a grin.

He starts coming toward me again and I throw my hands up. I drenched him in water. He started getting really mad. His shirt was dripping with water. Before I could even say the word bye I ran off and headed to the back gate.

The only thing that made me stop is when I plunged right into Tori. We both fell. She screeched, "What did you do you crazy lady?" She was upset because she had mud all over her nice clothes. I looked over at Avery and tears were streaming down her face from laughing too hard. Simon was laughing his butt off too.

Soon after Derek and Chloe caught up. "I figured it out," Derek says. Simon asks, "Figured what out? Oh and hey Morgan. It's good to see you again." I wave and look back over at Derek. "Where she is from. She is from school." Simon nods with the expression, yeah, you are just figuring that out. I smile and Derek gives his normal glare.

I give Avery a hug. I'm so glad she escaped and found them. Now we are together like one big family. The only problem is we have an annoying brat with us. Oh well. "So where to next?" I ask. "Out of this place for now," Derek answers walking away and everyone follows him. Derek was still soaked and Simon noticed, "Hey bro. Why are you soaked?" He scrunches his eyebrows and pointed at me.

Tori stuck her hand up to give me a hive five. I laughed and hit it hard. "Ow!" she squealed. I grinned wickedly. She moved away from me in anger. "So you have water powers?" Simon questions. I nod and tell him, "I can also read minds."

Then I see Derek get an idea in his mind, "So you want a hug?" He asks coming towards me. "No no no no no no," I answer quickly, running away from him. I don't want to get a wet dog hug. No thanks, I think I'll pass.

I stops when we end up at the side of some building. Now where to next? I decide to read Derek's mind and he says,

We need to go to Andrew's. That is where my dad always said to go if we needed to.

Who is Andrew? I guess I will find out pretty soon.
