Morgan×Pov-Flashback
Lunch was now over. The food was better than I anticipated. I was heading back to my locker now to get my History textbook.

Minding my own business, I was just trying to peacefully get my books. Of course, that can never happen. This jock plunged right into me. I slid until my back slammed against the wall, my head jerking back. "Move you puny 9th grader," he snickered. I gave him a scowl.  He messed with the wrong person.

"Puny? You'll be the one who is puny at the end of this," I jumped up then noticed a guy pulling out his phone. Trying to avoid getting in trouble I staggered into the bathroom. My back and head were throbbing. I looked at myself in the mirror and tried to fix my two french braids. I turned on the water to wash my hands.

I put my hands under the faucet and instead of them attaining water it flew to the edge of the sink. I tried to chase the water but I wasn't even able to get a single drop on my hands. I went to turn it off, but before I could touch the handle, water splashed in my face and pushed me back. My arms swinging around all over the place. It was a complete surprise.

I pressed my hands together and they were completely dry, but from the top of my shirt and up was soaked. How did this happen?  I slowly started towards the handle to turn it on again but the water just started pouring out. I threw my hands up to block my face. Then the water just stops. The sink is broken I bet.

I throw my hands down to the side and now it starts again. I pretend like I'm going to stop it just for fun. I put my hand out and it stops again. I twist my hand to the side and the water flowed. Then I swung my hand to the other side. When I did that, water splashed the walls. Did I make it happen?

I stopped the water and rushed to the nurse's office. I can't believe what happened. My first day of school and everything goes wrong. When I walked in I laid on the blue bed that had a white pillow. It was extremely uncomfortable but it was better than sitting up. The nurse walks in and is appalled to see me there.

She asks the basic questions, "Why are you in here? What happened?" I rubbed my eyes and gathered what happened back there. I wouldn't tell her about the water but everything else I will. She was an old lady and that has worked here for 9 years. I don't even know how I knew that information.

"I was walking to my locker and this random guy slams into me. Then I slam into the locker. I don't know if it was an accident or not but that's what happened." I rubbed my head. She rubbed her chin and wrote down a couple things. She went to the cabinet and was rummaging through stuff for something. She finds something in a plastic bag and takes two pills out. I looked at the time and realize that my next class is already halfway over.

She drifted over to the cups. She got her grip on one and then headed over to the sink. No, not the sink. I placed my head in my palms to try to avoid what happened in the bathroom. I couldn't help but look up and right before she turns it on it starts up. I took off toward her and snatched the plastic clear cup out of her hand. "I got it, thank you," I politely said to her. She gave me the pain killer pills and strolled back to her decorated desk. I sighed in relief.

I put the cup under the water and luckily it was fine. I quickly swallowed the pills. "I'm going home now," I mentioned to her. She shook her head and stopped me. "How are you going to get home? I haven't excused you," the nurse informed me. I took a deep breath and turned to her and gave a fake smile, "I'll be fine, Nurse Smith. My parents are here to pick me up." They aren't really, but I can walk home. I'll just go to Avery's house since I always go there after school anyways.

Avery and Nadia won't know I left and will probably be worried. This is what has to happen, though. She nods and then turns back to her computer. I walk to the front of the school. I check to see if anyone was there. There was this lady with black hair that was pulled into a bun in front of her computer. I saw a opened water bottle that was filled to the top.  I try knocking it over by moving my hand over to the direction I wanted it to fall. It successfully happened. I quickly snuck out.

I'm pretty sure I could hear her swearing. I didn't pay attention to her much because I needed to get out of there. I had a 10 minute walk back to Avery's house. When I get there I pull out the key they made me and I unlock the door.

When I advance in, the living room is to my right. The stairs are to my left. I walk up the carpeted stairs to lay down in Cayley's bed. I fall asleep.

I wake up to Avery coming into her room. She walks over to me and yells, "Where were you? I was worried sick." I noticed a book moving across the room. I rub my eyes and walk over to her desk and sit down, thinking I just imagined it.
I then reply, "I'm sorry. This jock ran into me and I went home after that." She sighs, and implies, "You could have at least told me." I respond, "You were in class and it happened so fast."

I just moved that book with my mind again. 4.99...

I was looking at the floor and then my eyes shot up at the statement. "You did what?" I asked her. She spieled, "What are you talking about?" I scrunch my eyebrows at her and tilt my head in confusion. "You know what you just said to me," I told her crossing my arms. She was confused and I didn't know why. She then explains, "The last thing I said was, 'you could have at least told me'."

I quickly mentioned, "No. The last thing you said was 'i just moved that book with my mind.'" I pause and then add, "And '4.99'?"Her eyes widened and shook her head, "I didn't say that aloud. I mean, maybe in my head." I shook my head and closed my eyes. This all must be a dream. Wake up Morgan, wake up. Did I just read her mind? No, not possible.

"Avery, what is going on?" I ask her. She shrugs her shoulders and shakes her head slowly. Oh wait, there is that thing I did with the water. I grab her arm and run downstairs. I lead her into the kitchen and let go of her arm. I grab a cup and pour some water into it. I set it on the table and back up. I raise my hand up and water starts to rise out of the cup. I dropped my hands and the water splashed back into the cup. I glanced over at Avery and there she was, mouth open in shock.

My eyes go back to the cup and turn my hand to the side and the cup falls over. All the water flowed into the sink. I looked over at Avery and see a look in her eyes that indicates she has an idea. I gaze back over to the cup and it starts floating in the air and sits right back up. We both smiled at each other.

We sprint back upstairs and do our homework. Avery stops me halfway through and tells me to watch her. She sets her notebook and pen on the ground. She raises the pen and starts writing. I laugh and I finish my homework. It wasn't much since it was the first day and I missed two classes. I check my phone to see it was 4:00. I vaguely hear the front door open downstairs. Cayley is home.

Darting to go see her before I leave, I pick her up and give her a hug then set her back down.  I was leaving earlier than usual because I had to do things at home. Saying a last goodbye to Avery, I throw my bag over my shoulder.
