Truth is so cold

I looked down at my arm, it was covered in scratches that were raw red and bleeding. I'd scratched so hard because of my nerves ad i hadn't realized until Matt said something.

'Why did you do that lucie?' Zacky takes my arm in his hand and looks at it.

'I don't know I-I... Didn't know, I didn't mean to' I pull my arm out of his hand and ran of out the bar grabbing pinkly as I'd so.

The cold air hit me as I closed the door behind me, the sun was gone and the moon was high. I had so many thoughts running trough my head right now, it actually started to give me a headache.

Why was Michelle NEVER mentioned before?

If he had of told me earlier things would be so bad now, but no! He lied to me, they all did. The truth is so cold.

Brian had the car and god knows where he's gone, so I have to walk. I held pinkly close to my chest as the wind blew through my hair sending it everywhere.

My phone kept going of in my back pocket, I could feel it yet I ignored it. I knew who it was, the guys and maybe Brian but there the last people I want to speak to right now.

I went where my feet took me, I had no idea where I was going, I'd only been here for a day. I felt like a little kid in a Walmart.

Walking up the posher side of Huntington Beach I saw Brian's car outside a large White painted house. Why was he there? Who lives there?

I decided to go and knock on the door, I waited for an answer. It took about about 2 minutes before a oldish looking man opened the door.

'Hello?' he said looking a little confused as to why I was there.

'Brian who is it?' a female voice came from behind him. She walked over and wrapped her arms round his waist. 'Oh my, it's lucie... Brian's girlfriend, he's told us so much about you lovey, please so come in'

She pulled Brian back so I could walk in, I placed pinkly down and looked around, confused to whom these people where.

'I don't want to seem rude, but who exactly are you?' I ask.

'Don't be silly, Brian must of not told you about us. I'm Suzy Haner, Brains step mum and this is his dad Brian' she said pointing to the man that she stand in the arms of.

'Wait what? Brian and Brian? I asked, confused yet again.

'Yes, I'm Brian. sr and he is Brian. jr but just call me papa Gates' he says giving me a warm smile.

'It's lovely to meet you both' I smile back and they pull me into a hug.

'It's lovely to meet you to my sweet' Suzy says and we all made our way to the kitchen.

'How come Brian's cars outside?' I ask taking a seat at the breakfast bar.

'He came over about half an hour ago, he was angry and drunk so I said he could go sleep it off' Papa Gates informs me.

'Would you like a drink?' Suzy asks me.

'Hmmm, yes please' I nod my head.

'Tea? coffee? water?' she grabs out a cup.

'Coffee please' I give her a little thumbs up as she flips the kettle on.

The room fell silent as Suzy made drinks and Papa Gates read through the newspaper.

'So Lucie, tell me about yourself' He looks up taking interest.

'Well, I come from the Uk, I am a professional tattooist, I used to take two courses at college that involve hair dressing and art, I can play drums, bass and guitar but obviously not as well as the guys. That's about it really.'

'Well that seems pretty awesome to me, sounds like Brian's picked a winner!' He laughs, causing me and Suzy to also laugh.

'Thanks, I'm glad I met Brian' I smile, then remember what had happened earlier.

It was now near midnight, and me and suzy were just siting watching tv in the living while Papa Gates was upstairs sorting out his guitars.

'Hey, it's getting late, did you want to stay here the night?' Suzy said putting her arm round my shoulder.

'Yes, that would be great as I don't exactly know my way back to Brian's, this is my first day in Huntington.

'Well, you can stay in Brian's room with him, tomorrow you can meet the rest of the family.' she gives me a little hug before we both stand up an make our way up the stairs.

'Thank you for everything Suzy' I say standing at the door that lead into Brian's room.

'No problem, you're family now' she waves before heading up the next set of stairs.

I take a deep breath before opening the door and closing it quietly and tip toeing to the bed where Bri was sleeping.

I slipped of my shoes and put my phone on the small table next to the bed, then takin of my trousers, folding then and putting them on the floor before sliding myself under the duvet and thinking about everything.
