Do You Like Your Job?

It was Saturday morning. The morning of Show Champions recording. Jieun hauled her heavy backpack full of kimbap over her shoulders. Nari and she stood outside in the cold. Jieun's heart was beating  faster and faster as the line to get in got shorter. Nari looked so excited and saw that Jieun was suffering carrying her backpack.

"What do you have in your backpack that's so heavy?" Nari said looking at Jieuns backpack. Jieun sniffed the cold air. "Nothing. Just my homework for later."

Nari looked at her confused "Yah, who brings their homework to a music show recording?" Jieun gave a slight giggle then her phone buzzed. She got a new message from Jungkook.

From: Famous Kook

You'll have to come to the back of the building to come in. My manager will be there to lead you.

Jieun looked at Nari, who was jumping up and down to see if the line was moving any further. How was she going to leave Nari?

"Um, Nari, I really need to use the restroom. I'm going to go find one. I'll be back." Jieun quickly got out of the line. Nari grabbed her arm. "What? Right now?" Jieun nodded and pretended to squirm around. "This girl. Leave your bag here then. I'll watch it." Nari reached to grab her bag. Jieun held on her bag tight. "No!"

Nari took a step back shocked. "I mean it's okay. I got it." Jieun laughed walking back slowly. "Okay. Hurry back then. I'll save you a spot." Nari went back to jumping in line.

Jieun hurried and ran all the way around the big building and finally reached the back. She huffed and puffed, tired from the jog she had just done. As she was going to step into the doors to the back, two security guards stopped her. "You! Student! What are you doing here?" "You can't be here!" The other one called out.

Jieun froze. This was the most risky thing she's ever done in her life. She was scared for her life. What if they capture her and put her in jail? What if she never ever sees her family again? What about Nari? What about school? Just then a tall man in glasses came out of the back doors. "It's okay. She's with me." He said.

The two guards looked at him, frightened and confused. They nodded their heads. Jieun look at the unknown buff man. Who was this? An angel sent to help her? He looked at her "You're Jieun right?" Jieun nodded. "This way then." He opened the door wider for her and led her inside."

They walked down the hall side to side. They passed by all the other idols. They had on flashy clothes and she could hear some singing really loud and some in the hall way practicing their dance. Suddenly the tall man who helped her asked her "Is this your first time?" Jieun nodded, she couldn't help look at how tall this man was.

They finally reached the room labeled Bangtan Boys. He opened the door for her again. Jieun bowed "Thank you ummm... I'm sorry I never got your name." He had a slight smile and answered "I'm Sejin." She bowed again. "Sejin-shi."

As she walked in she could hear a loud laughter and shouting. There was so much people everywhere. She didn't know where to look at first. Jungkook who was getting his hair done spotted her and waved at her through the mirror. "Jieun-ah! Lunch is here!" He shouted.

V and J-hope who were arm wrestling on the ground saw her also. They got up and ran towards her. "Welcome Jieun-shi!" V shouted at her. J-hope pulled a chair for her to sit. "Sit here." He said wiping the chairs seat.

"Thank you. J-hope-shi" She said as she sat. V kneeled down beside here and put both of his hands out. "What did you bring us today?" Jieun pulled out the big lunch boxes of kimbap and aloe drinks. "Wow!" V shouted.

"You guys are too loud!" Suga yelled and got up from his nap on the couch. "Sorry hyung." V said bowing his head and giggling alittle to himself.

Jieun handed Suga a rolled up kimbap. "Here is your lunch Suga-shi." Suga looked up and realized that it was Jieun. He looked away alittle embarrassed about yelling and grab the roll. "Oh, thanks."

J-hope laughed. "Oh Yoongi hyung's embarrassed." Resulting in getting a neck pillow thrown at him by Suga. Jin then walked through the doors, back from the restroom and saw the food. He went straight to Jieun and grabbed a roll. "Wahh, Jieun made this?" Jieun nodded shyly. "Thank you from your hard work." He said patting her head.

Rap Mon and Jimin were still getting their makeup done so Jieun waited to hand them their roll. Jungkook had just finished doing his hair and jumped up to get his lunch too. He grabbed a roll and had Jieun step out with him. They went to a corner by a window facing the crowd outside the building, still waiting. He opened the foil and took a big bite of the roll. Jieun laughed "Is it good?" Jungkook nodded smiling "Tastes just as good as our mom's." "Good." Jieun said looking out the window at the crowd.

"Do you like your job?" She asked him. Jungkook looked outside too. "It gets hard and tiring but I really like music so I have no problem with performing for them."

Jieun was glad to hear that her cousin was pursuing his dreams. She didn't even know what her dreams were yet. He looked at her. "Thanks for making us lunch. I know it's a lot to ask of." Jieun shook her head. "No, I'm glad to help."

"Do you have a path that you want to go on too?" He asked her suddenly. Jieun turned her head to the ground. That was a question she asked herself a lot also. She was okay in her studies and had basics skills. But she was never amazing at certain things. She wonder what her gifts were and what she could possible do in the future. "I... I don't know." She said looking a bit gloom. Jungkook nudged her shoulder alittle. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll find your path." He smiled at her.

They went back inside the waiting room and Rap Mon was already eating the kimbap. He looked up at Jieun shyly. "Thank you." He said. Jieun giggled "Your welcome." She looked around for Jimin. But he wasn't in the room anymore. She went over to V "Where did Jimin-shi go?" V looked around "Jimini? I don't know."

Jieun grabbed a roll and went out the room to look for him. She felt bad for last time so she made sure to make enough for everyone. She wanted to apologize. She passed all the other idols again down the hall. She finally came to a corner and saw a guy sitting with his back faced out the window. He had a foiled roll of kimbap like the ones Jieun made. He turned around, mouth full, and faced Jieun. It was Jimin, eating her kimbap.
