Alex, still holding Stephanie's hand pulled her out to the backyard, where they were working on fixing the roof.
Alex's older brother looked at them, being careful not to let go of the ladder.
"Oh hey Mika. Sorry about hitting you." He bit his lip, embarrassed.
"It's fine, because I think it knocked some memories back!" Squealed Alex excitedly.
"What?!" He looked up to his little brother. "Hey, Bro! Mika remembered something!"
His brother looked down from the roof. "What?! That's awesome, one sec." He quickly climbed down the ladder and took her hands. "What do you remember?!?" He had a gigantic grin on his face.
"Go on, tell em." Alex elbowed her.
"My name isn't Mika. It's Steph." She grinned. "I'm going to assume it's short for Stephanie, but I'm going by Steph, just to be safe."
But Alex's younger brother suddenly looked panicked. "Steph...an..ie?" He started breathing heavily.
"Yeah! Isn't that amazing!" Steph grinned at him, but he wouldn't wipe the loom of utter shock off his face.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"I know that name..." He stepped away from her.
"Tell me what's wrong." Steph got a little more forcefully, stepping towards him.
"I'm so sorry..." He trailed off, but Steph was right in his face.
"Tell me the truth. Did you know me before I got amnesia, Thomas?"
