Matt sat down in the front seat of the back of the plane. Jack sat across from him.

"Jack, what's going on? Who was that guy? What do you and Christina have to do with this?" Question after question came from his mouth, but Jack shushed him.

"Let me tell you." He took a deep breath before explaining. "Alright. There used to be a livestream on the deep web. The men that ran it kidnapped victims and tortured and killed them."

Matt sat back. That did sound like an urban legend he heard, but he had no clue that it was real.

"Jason ended up getting kidnapped, so-"

"Who's Jason?" Asked Matt.

"Oh. Right. You know how you do GTlive? Jason used to be the tech guy." Jack explained. "Anyway, you and..." Jack gestured towards the picture that Matt had of him and that woman.

"Stephanie?" Matt guessed.

"Yeah, her. Well, you two went into the deep web to try and find him. Nate, who had been trolling the red room guys for a while, helped you out. But... eventually, the three of you got kidnapped."

Matt's eyes went wide.

"But that's where I come in. When I saw Nate and Stephanie on the livestream, I called the police. Sure, it made me a target, but the police brought them down considerably. However, Stephanie faked her own death, as well as Nate's, in order to save you. And they did, but..." Jack trailed off.

"But what?" Asked Matt.

"Stephanie died." Matt felt shock. He didn't even know this woman, but everyone thought they were a couple. She could have known something. "You tried to save her, but it didn't work. After that, you must have convinced yourself that it never existed, and that you never went through that, because here you are, listening to me telling you."

Matt took a breath out. "So, what was Christina planning?"

"To meet up with me. I have no clue how to fly a plane, but with a combination of autopilot and you, I think we might get there."

"Get where?"

"Ireland. You need s memory jog."
