Jillian Hoversund followed Danger Will up the stairs to the Baron's office as quickly as she could.

"Ranger Will, could you slow down a minute?" She asked.

Will turned around and rose an eyebrow at her. His pet expression.

"I can't keep up with you." She said.

"Then walk faster." Will said simply, before he continued walking up the steps, faster than Jilly could keep up with. "Seriously! I can't walk any faster than I already am!" She cried up the stairs after Will.

Will slowed down a little, but not enough to quell the aching pain in both her legs from climbing the stairs. She was heaving and nearly wheezing when they reached the Baron's office.

"My legs hurt." Jilly whined.

Baron Arald opened the door before Will had the chance to knock. "Will, you know not to stress a lady like that." He said, pouting a little.

"She's hardly a lady." Will said bluntly.

Jilly managed a glare in Will's direction.

"Come on in, both of you." Said the Baron.

Jilly sighed gratefully as she went in and lowered herself into a chair that wasn't the Baron's office chair. Will, on the other hand, simply stood close to the entrance. Figures. Thought Jilly.

"Now, is there any reason why you two were outside my door?" Arald asked.

"Jillian wanted to explain her situation to you, sir." Will answered.

The Baron turned a questioning look onto Jilly, who let out a sigh. "I'm not from around here, sir." She said. "You see..." Jilly then went into her explanation. The same one she gave Will. Where she was from, how she got to Araluen, and why she needed to get back home.

"Your story seems believable. Granted it sounds a little mental, but it's believable." The Baron said.

Jilly shrugged. "Understandable." She said.

"Well, we might be able to help you, but it's a big might." The Baron told her. "I'll give you your own temporary room while me and Will discuss what to do."

Jilly nodded. "Thank you, sir." She said.

The Baron made a gesture that told her to leave the room, and she obeyed, leaving Will and Baron Arald to discuss her fate.

A/N: Hey Guys! Just a reminder, this is a continuation of Happy__Writing's book and she has passed it over to me so I can continue her legacy. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
