As soon as Jillian rounded the corner, she missed Charity standing up against the wall. "So you need to find Laylanie, huh?" Asked Charity.

Jillian whirled around and held her heart as Charity spoke. "Charity. You startled me." She said.

"Laylanie is coming back from the gardens via the Throne Room entrances. You'll find her along that path." Charity said simply.

Jillian relaxed and grinned. "Thanks, Charity." She said as she embraced the older woman.

"I knew Laylanie was a criminal from the moment I was assigned to her." Charity said.

Jillian laughed. "Well, thanks for helping me find her." She said.

"Not a problem." Charity replied.

With that, Jillian left to find Laylanie.

Laylanie was coming in through the throne room, just like Charity said she would.

Jillian restrained herself from grinning and headed straight for her. "Lady Laylanie?" She asked.

"Who's asking?" Laylanie asked in return.

"Ranger Jillian, m'lady. I need to ask you a few questions." Jillian said.

"About what?"

"Strictly confidential until we can speak in private."

"Then I'm afraid I have no business with you."

"All Ranger business is confidential in the hallways. Surely you understand that we cannot have anyone dropping eaves on our conversation?" Jillian explained. "And I have business with you regardless if you don't have any with the Rangers." Jillian turned to leave. "Follow me."

"I will not follow you until you tell me your business with me."

Jillian turned to Laylanie whilst looking around for any eavesdroppers. She got close to Laylanie and resisted the urge to grin. "My business with you, is that you ordered the assassination of Her Highness Queen Cassandra. I am here to question your motives for it."

"Queen Cassandra has never been as good as her father was, and she never would have been, because she's most likely dead by now." Laylanie said. "And so will you." She snapped her fingers and Jillian's vision was blocked off by what felt like a sack.

She tried to struggle, but the person who was pulling her was much stronger than her and she gave up after a few minutes of struggling.

She heard muffled shouting before she blacked out.
