IMPORTANT: THIS IS THE FIRST CHAPTER (EDITED!!!) Edited version: Credits to Thepowerofwriting. She is a fantastic writer, and she made my story BETTER.

                                                         Abby's P.O.V

What if you thought you were normal? If you thought you were just a normal teenage girl? Well, that's what I thought, but I guess I was wrong.

What if you had a power that not many people have? It’s not a mutation, it’s not that I am a vampire, werewolf, or whatever those creatures are. I have something...different, abstract, and unusual.

Most people call me Abbey Hellen and I am 17 years old. I have caramel brown eyes, and golden brown hair that falls a little past my shoulder, in waves. I am average to tall height; somewhere around 5’6. And I am something we call a "destroyer".

Two years ago, I escaped from a Form. The Form is a place you go when you have a power like mine. They teach you to use it for evil. Against your will, they make you train almost every hour of everyday, with nothing but 4 hours of sleep. They are trying to destroy every human on this earth. The Form wants revenge for destroying more than half of us. But I didn't want to destroy humans—I never did. I didn't want revenge, so I escaped; that wasn't the hard part though. I ran miles until I found an old cottage hidden in a forest. A tattered old cottage that looked hand crafted out of clay that has hardened over the years.

                                                           *FOUR MONTHS AGO*

                                                       (8 months after the escape.)

I was sitting in the newly personalized cottage making a stew for supper. Once I sat down and took the first bite of the stew—which could’ve been much better granted I’d been a better cook— I noticed a guy stood in front of the hand crafted door. I jumped into the air, barely catching my bowl of fluids before it splashed all over the floor.

I couldn't speak, no matter how much I wanted to ask him 'who he is' and 'what he wants' or even tell him ‘get out,’ all I could do was look at him with my mouth totally dry.

"You're her." he said with curiosity and an intense seriousness at the same time. He had blond hair, that had been spiked and crystal blue eyes, he is very lean and stood a little taller than me. "The girl who escaped,” He said as if he knew me. “Abby, that's your name."

How did he know my name?  I knew then, he was here to bring me back. Take me back to that horrible place, the Form.

I wanted to run, but my feet wouldn't move. I tried to force my leg up; nothing. They found me. He is totally going to take me back. I didn't know what to do, I was frozen, or at least, that's what it felt like.

"I am not here to take you back to the Form." he said gently, as if he could read what I was thinking through my mind.

That let some pressure off of me. But still, how could I trust him? I don't even know him. "I am here to take you to my place. I heard there was another escapee, and I came to look for you.” His eyes stayed glued to mine, sending chills down my back. “I hate them just as much as you do, and I want them gone. Train with me. We can defeat them together!" he sounded confident, and I would’ve been convinced if he hadn’t just come out of nowhere.

I felt my legs move, and I silently cheered for myself.

My mouth suddenly moistened, and I set my shoulders.

"What do you say?" he let his hand out for me to take.

"Who are you?" I asked finally, eyeing his hand.

"A magician." he joked.

I lowered my eyes, and then back up. "Seriously." I spoke more tensely, "Who are you?"

He began to speak faster in a gush of words. "They know you're here! The Form, they know. I have them tracked, they are coming. Decide now. Come with me, or die." I thought for a second and placed my hand into his. I tried not to regret it as he pulled me out of my safe house.

Shoving me into his car, he left me with a strong slam of the passenger door, and slid into the driver’s seat to rev up the engine.

I don't even know him. He could be lying to me. Why did I go with him? Am I crazy? I just felt like there was something familiar about him… Something I could trust. I felt safe with him when he told me that the Form is coming, I felt safe with him.

After he started the car I said, "You never told me your name." He smiled at me and looked at me with intrest.

"Kevin."

I smiled back, but I don't think he saw it because before I smiled, he turned his head to the dirt road. So I turned my head and stared at the road as we drove.

After a long, long, silent drive, I felt my eyes closing. I didn't blame myself, because we have been in the car for nine hours. How far did he come just to get me? I looked at him and saw the street light shine in his eye that made his blue eyes shine. Right then, I knew I would be okay, and allowed myself to fall asleep.

It was dark. Pitch black. I didn't know where to turn. And I know if I make the wrong turn, I die.

I turned myself around using my eyes the best I could to see in front of me; nothing. I can't see anything. Suddenly, a shadow of a guy stood right in front of me, blocking my view of nothing. He had a hat on, which looked very old and fragile. He smiled and grabbed my back; he pulled me close, and stabbed me in the top left of my chest that I knew was my heart. Blood. It was everywhere, my mouth was gushing blood, suffocating me. I gasped for air, but I couldn't breathe.

Death, it had to be.
