Kaely's P.O.V
With all that's going on, I can't think. The inside of my head is like a tornado going haywire.
As days pass, we can all tell Mary isn't going to last much longer, It's been four days since our plan was made. And of what I've seen, she hasn't suspected anything. But I'm sure Abby has a different thought. Alec looked over at me and raised his eyebrows and smiled. To be nice, I smiled back, showing as less teeth as I can, because right now, I am that tired. Then, he started walking to me. "Hey." he said looking at his hand. I stare at him, then finally he looks back up at me. "I'm worried."
"Of?" I said quickly.
"Our plan," he sighed, "What if it backfires? And someone gets hurt. I can't let anyone get hurt. I just can't."
I sighed and put my left hand on my right shoulder, almost rubbing it. "Were going to be okay. I'm sure nothing will happen." I murmered.
He sighed again, "I don't want you getting hurt," he told me, "You are my friend and I-"
I put my hand over his mouth to stop him from talking, "Nothing is going to happen!. To me or anybody else. End of story!" I raised my voice a little. I turned my back to him and walked off. I heard him let out a huff. Why is he so worried about me, I can fend for myself. I then noticed Abby, she was starring at me. She started to walk toward me. She smiled and tilted her head.
"What was that all about?" she asked in a wry tone. She stood with one hand on her hip the other hanging on her left side. She had a long braid in the back of her head. She is wearing a leather-like material outfit, long sleeve and pants. She much be hot wearing that, I thought. Despite the hours we have worked today, she looks just fine. Actually she looks fairly well.
"Just Alec being dramatic," I answered.
"Oh." she almost complained. "Guess what?" she asked, but before I could answer she answered for me, "It's working, she's running out of energy. And fast. Soon enough she will be dead, and we will all be back on track."
"Can you please tell that to Alec. That everything is going to be back on track and okay?" I asked her, because I still don't think Alec believes me. Saying it's all going to be okay and all.
"Will do."
I sighed in relief. She is going to tell him, I thought, and he will believe her, hopefully.
Abby's P.O.V
Kaely sighed in relief. After I told her I will tell Alec, I walked away and kept my promise. I told Alec. He didn't seem to buy it, although he is warming up to believing it. I then went back to work, my training. My job is also to watch Marry, if she goes somewhere alone, I have to follow so I can if she is making some more contact. But of course, I don't let her see me.
The last two days Marry hasn't made any contact with anyone. I bet she knows I am listening all the time. She probably even knows our whole plan.
I smiled at Kevin when I caught him staring at me. He then looked at Marry, then back at me. He raised his eyebrows and started walking over to me. Right now, I am kind of too tired to talk. I don't want to but I have too, I mean he is my boyfriend after all. But my mouth is completely dry. I probably just need a drink.
"Your mother is-" he started to say,
"She is not my mother!" I yelled, interrupting him. I then calmed myself down. I just don't want to think of her as my mother. Ewe.
He cleared his throat, "Marry..." he corrected himself, "She is running out of energy very fast. This can work! We can do it! Get ready any minute, probably today or tomorrow." I smiled.
"I have been ready since she got here." All I want is my mother dead. Now. I don't want to wait and give her time to slowly find out our plan and for her to make a better one to out-smart us. This can't wait.
Alec's P.O.V
I can't pretend I don't care. I do. I can't stand and watch someone get hurt. This plan may just either kill or injury someone. I especially can't imagine watching Kaely get hurt, she is just amazing, and honestly, I probably couldn't live without her.
Maybe Marry is stronger than we think. Maybe she knew Abby would hear her talking. This could be a set-up. But I know, if I tried to tell them, they will ignore me and say "That isn't possible," but it is possible. They should know that. They should be way smarter than that. The Form taught you how to figure things out when regular people can't.
Another long day passes, and again, it's morning. On 7:00am. I saw Kaely so I walked up to her. She didn't look as happy as she normally does. "Tired?" I asked her. She nodded her head. Her hand is on her cheek almost making her cheek look fat, which it's not. "Yeah. Me too."
"No. I'm fine," she said, "I am not tired at all." she added sarcastically.
I smiled and grabbed her wrist. "Come on!" I said. "Let's go!" she let out a loud huff.
"Go where at this time?"
"Oh. Stop complaining. Come on." I literally dragged her out the door, but then she picked up her feet and started walking all on her own. This moment kind of reminded me when my little brother -Josh- he learned to walk on his feet for the first time. That's of course, before he died in my mother's car accident. I haven't had a family since. I guess that's why I was so easy to take and be put into the Form.
We walked a total of three whole miles before we reached our destination. The abandoned house. She opened her mouth wide. "Why did you take me here?"
"You and me both know we want to find what else lies in this mansion."
After about ten minutes of being inside, I am almost done. We should go back soon. Suddenly, someone stands in the hall of the building just standing there. Who is he? He lifted up his hand and used his powers to control a rock sitting on the floor. Which, there are many rocks in this place. He made the rock hit Kaely's stomach, she fell to the ground, spitting out blood.
"Kaely!" I yelled. "No!" I then knew hand-to-hand combat was the only solution. Considering our powers don't work on other Destroyers and I don't have a bow or knifes, also I don't want to keep throwing rock back and forth to each other. I felt a tear drop down on my face. I did this, I thought, I brought her here, she got hurt because of me. "I'm sorry." I whispered to Kaely.
The guy stood there and smiled. I gave the first punch and punched him in his gut, right where he threw the rock at Kaely. "How do you like it?" the guy knelt over his knees, "doesn't feel too good, huh?" I then kneed him in the face, since he was leaning over his knees, that made the guy's head fling back, causing his body to lay flat on the floor. Then, what I unexpected, he got back up super-fast. And he looked very mad. He was possibly mad enough to kill both me and Kaely.
Kevin's P.O.V
"I am tired! Can I have a break?" Marry asked me. Abby ran up to me and smiled. She knew that this is the time!
"We can't win if we take breaks all the time." I told her. It's time! She is out of energy. Now all we need is everyone here ready to take their positions, I thought, wait...where is Alec and Kaely?
"Fine!" she groaned.
Once she was completely out of hearing range I spit out, "Where is Alec and Kaely?" I raised my eyebrow frustrated. "We need them! Now!"
"They left. I saw them walk out about an hour ago." she explained. Shit! We need them to help. We can't do this alone! So what do we do? Suddenly, Marry fell to the floor. We can't do this without them. But we have too. She's down.
