Abby's P.O.V
Kevin and I finally went to sleep later that night. My eyes didn't even once. I was dead asleep.
A loud bang pounded on the walls causing me to sit up quickly. I hear rustling in the kitchen almost like someone was going through the fridge. It’s Kevin, I thought. No it can't be Kevin, he is asleep right across this wall. He’s in his room in his bed, and he is sleeping. I can hear the muffled snores. I got up and slowly walked in the kitchen, half expecting that it would be Kevin, although I knew in my soul it wasn’t.
I saw a man in a black jacket ripped jeans and a hoody on. I screamed, and started to run to Kevin’s room. I hear Kevin jump up off of the bed, he ran to me. The guy in the kitchen stared at me, not reacting much.
Kevin held my arms, looking alarmed while I breathed frantically—on the edge of hyperventilating. “What? What? What is it?”
"Kevin!" the man said.
We both looked at him in a synchronized motion.
"Alec! I haven't seen you in like two years! You got out?" Kevin said. Got out? What does he mean got out? Oh… Got out of the form. Right then, I recognized him. He was the guy who helped me a few times lift something heavy. He was my friend. I haven't seen him in two years, so I didn't recognize him. He had short brown hair, and familiar brown eyes. I could tell now that over the two years he got a lot bulkier.
"Abby!" Alec said, greeting me, coming in for a hug. I hugged him, still a little shaken from the brake in. "I heard you escaped. They've been looking for you. So, you've been hiding her for two years?" he asked.
"Actually, no. Kevin found me two days ago. He brought me here. I'll tell you our secret if you promise not to tell anybody." I laughed, looking around dramatically.
He grinned, pushing his hood back. "Promise."
"We're training so we can attack the Form." I said. Alec's mouth flung open.
"No way! Can I help you guys. I want them to have a piece of my own medicine. Making me train non-stop. Fuck them." I giggled. I always liked Alec. He had never been anything less than nice and generous. I didn't like him like that, but he was very sweet. Truthfully, I am not even surprised he got out. I saw it coming. I mean, out of everyone, he would be the one to get out.
"Were you going to just take that bread, or were you going to ask for it?" Kevin joked. Alec lifted his hand that held the bread, like he forgot he stole it from us.
"Ah." he sighed, "I really missed you. I broke out last week, haven't had nothing but two pieces of chicken all week. So yes. I am just going to take this." he smiled. They seemed to get along very well. "Abby you look great."
Is he kidding? I look half dead, it's the middle of the night, my eyes are puffy and red and my hair is frizzy all around. "So do you." I told him, but I wasn't lying to him, Alec lied to me. I look like shit right now.
"You've been training hard, huh? Kevin, you look beat."
"Well, I try my best." Kevin laughed. Well, Kevin did look beat. Kevin smiled wide, and it showed his perfectly straight teeth. I blushed. Luckily in the dark, no one could see.
"Well, if you guys don't mind, tomorrow is going to be a long day, I am going back to bed." I told them, hoping Kevin would let him stay to help. We need as much help as we can get.
"Alec, sleep here tonight, since you are now training with us." Alec nodded his head, and took a bite of the bread. He followed into the room. The room had three beds, perfect amount for everyone to sleep. I couldn't believe how I didn't recognize him at first. Alec is really good looking, but I don't like him like him, he is just a great friend and same for Kevin.
Kevin and I have become good friends in just the matter of two days. He is great. I am so glad I came with him instead of staying in the cottage; the Form probably would have found me by now, if I stayed there.
*Two weeks later*
I have seen an increase in my skills already, even after leaving the Form. They had us training a lot, and I thought I was strong before, but now I’m better. I can do 30 more push-ups than I could ever do in my whole life. I can hit targets from 300 feet away. I am learning to control my power, but still, I have more to increase. I actually have a lot more practice to go before I am perfect.
As for Kevin, he can do about 100 push-ups, 110 sit ups; he is learning his front flips right now. I guess it’s for both endurance, and having another way to kick someone in the face. Not enough of those.
I’m also trying to learn how to do a front flip, but I’m not nearly as close as Kevin is. Alec has improved a massive amount since I saw him two years ago. Great training. He can do like two times what Kevin can do. But Kevin, I can see, is going to pass Alec up; he has increased the most in four days, and if he keeps it up, he will be the best.
It is unbelievable how hard we have been training. How much energy we have lost by doing this. But I knew this is what it was going to take. Great effort. We knew this is going to take a long time before we can actually attack the Form.
