CHAPTER33- MARCOS

I ran straight to the Queen and King quarters as fast as I could. I hope Marcos was okay.

It had two flight of stairs to take before I could even reach their bedroom where I assumed Marcos slept with them.

Finally, I reached to their room and looKed around.

It was empty.

Marcos crib was empty.

All the other rooms were empty.

What the fuck.

I begun to panic. Where the hell was my son !!!!!!

I was about to go back downstairs when I heard a faint muffled cry.

What was that?

An animal?

A baby?

My baby?

I quickly ran toward the noise which led me to the Queen 's bedroom.

I looked around and heard nothing.

I was just about to leave when I heard a small sneeze.

It came from under the bed.

I slowly lowered myself down to my knees an looked under.

There, laid a maid holding Marcos in her arms looking very scared.

I sighed with relief.

Thank God.

He was safe.

I helped them out from under the large object and quickly held onto Marcos making sure he was ok.

"Are you safe?" I asked her.

"Yes I'm fine, Princess" she whispered.

"How did you know to hide?" I asked as we made our way out of the room.

"Well the Queen was awake when it all started and she quickly grabbed me when she saw the fire in the main building and told me to hide under here with Marcos until you came" she muttered.

"So where were the guards?" I asked curious to know why no guards were around.

"Arianna has a lot of inside help, a lot of the well known guards began to attack us, those who were actually great bodyguards and were loyal got killed. The Palace has gone down. I can see Arianna winning" she said sadly.

Without hesitation I pulled out my phone that was in my back pocket and dialed Sonia.

"Hi Sonia I need you to meet me on the south side of the Palace by the hidden gate in five minutes"

"Alright" she answered immediately.

Sonia had been prepared for something like this ,I was to give her Marcos and she was going to take care of him if anything was to happen to Andros and I . I designed my will for her. She would have everything .

I then dialed the army and police.

"Goodnight, this is Princess Sophie of Madrid, this is not a game or a test , the Palace has fallen, the Queen and King have both been captured by an armed felon Arianna. She is planning to kill us all. Please send back up. I will try to do my best to get back my Palace but I could only hope for the best" I said before hanging up.

I quickly rushed to the south side of the Palace where Sonia was waiting. I had my son wrapped up in one arm and my gun loose in my next. The maid was following close behind.

We reached the huge black gates and I stopped. My heart sinking altogether, this was it. I might not ever see Marcos or Sonia again. I gave him one last long kiss on his cheek and handed him over to Sonia, who had tears in her eyes.

"Call the national guards again and make the report please, remember I love you guys" I muttered into Sonia shoulder while hugging her.

Fuck my life. Here I was, watching my bestfriend and my son drive off into a great life and I'm staying here to save my husband and his family.

The things you do for love.

I watched as the maid ran outside the Palace into the empty streets, scared for her life.

Sigh.

Just then I heard a numerous amount of loud footsteps coming. I looked around and saw many armed men running towards me. Oh fuck.

They were definitely Arianna's men. The nearest route I could have taken to get away from them was to run into the huge garden.

Without hesitation I did.

I must have been running around the garden for 20 minutes when I came up to the conclusion that no one was following me.

I needed to get back to the Palace and get my family. But how????

I sat on the cold hard ground and begun to think .

If Bell was able to come into my room she had to have past somewhere . The tunnels ?

Yes but would the tunnels reach all the way to main office???

Maybe.

I then remembered Andros had a map of the tunnels in his room. I had found it a time when I was pregnant but I didn't know what it was.

I cautiously made my way to his room which was high up on a tower overlooking the entire Palace. I had my gun out still moving slowly.

It must have taken me a good while to find the damn thing but I did. When I was about to open it a sudden boom noise of an explosion sent me flying straight through the opened window. I quickly caught hold of the ledge before I fell atleast 100 feet to the ground. Dead.

Someone had sent a missile to this room trying to kill me. Now the entire building was on fire. I had to let go. I looked down to the ground below me and I was hanging over the pool. Without hesitation I let go.
