Stop her from doing too much baby shopping
"Look at this cute dress, please!" I stated holding up a small pink princess like dress. Matty rolled his eyes and gestured down to the cart in front of him "Yes it is as cute as the other twenty! But no girl needs twenty one dresses so please let us move on to the boys section? There is a second one we have to buy clothes for!" Smiling I looked down at my stomach which was huge! Matty and I were getting twins - a boy and a girl - and to say we weren't excited or happy would be the lie of the year! At first we didn't want to know if it was a girl or a boy but at the next meeting the doctor forgot about that fact and blurted out that we got twins. I had convinced him to go shopping and our apartment was already bursting at the seams because of all the clothes and stuff. We had changed Matty's old rooms into two bedrooms and managed to somehow integrate Matty's stuff into mine. "Okay fine, we will! Let's go over there. I believe we need some T-Shirts." Matty agreed and so we made our way over. Because we could get there though I stopped and pointed at a buggy "We need this!" Matty let out a sigh and a chuckle - which let me tell you sounded weird together - and shook his head "No! We already have two and I don't know for what you need the second! And we have also two single ones so we don't need any others!" I crossed my arms and pouted but Matty ignored it and walked over to the boys section. I followed him and took out three different t-shirts that I threw into the cart. When I saw some toys that looked so lovely I quickly walked over. I was just about to throw them into the cart when Matty took them away from me and shook his head "No way, you are not going to buy more toys! We have an entire room already just for their toys!" I narrowed my eyes at him and gave him a death glare. It didn't impress him in any way though and so we kept pulling back and forth at the toy. Suddenly I felt a weird feeling in my stomach and my eyes grew wide. At an instant Matty had put the toy back onto the board and was next to me "Are you okay?" I shook my head "I think my water just broke!" Matty's eyes also grew wide before he realized and quickly helped me out of the shop and into a cab. Seeing him all stressed and freaked out was funny and I couldn't resist laughter. When the driver asked him where to he told him the hospital and then kept prattling on about how excited he was, that we were getting twins what he wanted to do with them in their free times and which jobs they should take. The fact that he didn't also told the poor man about our family tree was actually quite surprising.

"I love you!" Matty stated and looked down at me a smile on his lips. I gave him a tired smile in respond and answered "I love you too!" He swept a few strands of hair out of my hair and then looked down on the two little human beings in my arms. "How will we call them?" he asked. I thought about it for a second before answering "I thought about Cara and Leo!" Matty raised an eyebrow "What about our 'y'-tradition?" I laughed "I love this tradition but they are a new generation! Plus an a for the female gender and an o for the male one are quite creative too if you ask me." There was silence for a second while Matty gave this a thought before he nodded. Then he took Leo out of my arms and smiled at him "Hey Leo! I am Matty, your dad! I will teach you how to play football and soccer. If you are queer though I don't mind and your mother will take you shopping!" I laughed at the weird picture in front of me "You are so unmoral! Whatever it was that your mother did with you or gave you when you were younger, we are not going to do that with our children!" Matty played to be angry and narrowed his eyes at me, but I just shrugged it off. The door carefully opened and Tracy, Ky, Sam, Tom, my dad and Lydia came in with bags of presents, flowers and huge smiles. "Hey!" we both greeted them and got a "Hey lovely two!" back. They all gathered around my bad and picked up Leo and Cara, complimenting them. They were all amazed by their cuteness and I definitely got why it was like that! Also we were the first with babies out of our friend circle. Tom and Sam were too busy with their jobs to actually get one and Ky and Tracy had just gotten married so they thought it was still too early for them. We kept talking about different things when Tracy's phone suddenly went off. She took it out and suddenly bursted out in laughter. We gave her a strange look and she quickly explained "I just got a memory from my phone about a tape I recorded two years ago. It was actually planned that I would show you two this on your weddings day, but I completely forgot about it and the timer was set for two years. Do you two remember when I met Matty for the first time and we were in your room? It must have been the fifth day when you tried to steal back your laptop in the night. You said that you two would never marry and I promised I would record all of that and show it to you when you are getting married! Now look at you: you have even kids!" We all laughed at this before I stated "Yes, that's right. All of you actually were right and we were blind - but not because of love or at least not in that way! But the only important thing that counted was the fact that we are together now, isn't it?" They all agreed and I looked at the face of the persons who were the most important persons in my life.
They said that everything in life happens for a reason. And they were right. If Matty and I wouldn't have bumped into each other I would have never met Matty and I wouldn't be where I was now!
