Don't let her organize the wedding

"You look amazing! And I love your dress. I can not believe that it actually looks so good even though Matty bought it all by himself. It is unbelievable that he bought most of the things by himself and kept up the whole coaching thing somehow!" Tracy stated and Sam nodded in approval. We were standing in the tent of the bride and bride maids and looking at my dress in the mirror. Matty had done a great job, there were no doubts. It was a white colored dress with a heartshaped neckline and a huge bottom which was a mixture of tulle and silk and made the whole skirtpart look puffy like in all those fairytales. It was exactly my taste and the make up and hairstyling I had chosen fitted perfectly with it. Matty hadn't let me buy anything because he was so happy about my improvements. Since the coaching was done I hadn't bought too many clothes anymore and wouldnt go shopping more than twice a month. Also I was busy with my job and our relationship helped both of us improving our writings because we were able to help each other. I loved my new self and I showed it Matty and my dad whenever I could. The deal about me not buying anything for the wedding was that I at least got to plan it. That ment I got to decide about the style of all the dresses and suits, the colors and the decoration. Once that was done I had told Matty my plans and he looked for fitting pieces. The only thing we bought together were the rings. They were simple, thin and made out of gold. In the inside of it were our names engraved each of us having the other name. I looked down at my sparkling diamond ring and smiled at the memory of how he had asked me to marry him.

We were both in the kitchen, I was reading the newspapers and he was making both of us a cup of tea. It was after three month of us dating and we still were deeply in love. Matty had told me on the same evening when we got together that he loved me and I replied it not having any doubts. However when I was occupied reading the newspapers Matty suddenly walked up next to me and took my hand before placing a ring on it. "We are getting married!" he announced and then walked back to the boiling water. I was speechless from the surprise at first but then started laughing about how funny and weird the whole situation was. Later that evening he had told me that he was so nervous thinking about how to ask me and what he could possibly mess up that the ring was burning through his jeans pocket against his skin. So he decided to ask me just there and then - or maybe not really asking - so that he wouldn't just freak out in the end and decide against asking me. I couldn't stop laughing at that day anymore and the same thing happened to Matty.

And now here I was, getting ready for my wedding with him. Sam and I had gotten really close again and I considered her aswell as my best friend. That made the chose of the maid of honor harder than it should have been. When I hadn't slept for the thrid night in a row Matty had suggested to take both of them. We figured that it was possible in some weird way and I was relieved that I didn't have to make a hard decision like that. My father entered the tent with a smile on his face and a pink box with a huge bow in his hands. "Hey Dad!" I said and walked over to him, pulling him into a tight hug. "Hey Sammy! Let me tell you that you look amazing! I have a present for you." I flashed him a thankful smile and walked with him over to the couch. I carefully opened the bow and then lifted up the lid. Inside I found a pair of long pearlearrings from my mother, her favorite bracelet which had a blue stone in the middle of it, a tiara and the broch my dad was always wearing with our old family symbol - yes we had something like that! At the sight of all of this tears flooded into my eyes and my voice cracked when I tried to say "Something old, blue. new and borrowed! Thank you dad!" He smiled and pulled me into a tight hug. Then a woman walked in telling us it was time to begin. I nodded and all of us got up. The bride maids were all wearing a royal blue dress which had pink ornaments all over it. The dresses from Tracy and Sam were pink, turquoise and green. It was a way to combine all our favorite colors and I loved it. When I walked out of the tent I was happy that we had some kind of path because walking on high heels over sand wasn't the things I was looking most forward to. I smiled at all the guests and laughed when I found Mrs Constan - the woman from the charity organisation in the crowd winking at me. She was right like all the others and I still couldn't believe how blind Matty and I had been the entire time. My smile grew wider when I found Matty standing at the end of the isle a huge smile on his face. It was the perfect wedding and the location was even better. We had all driven out into the Hamptons and married at the beach with a perfect view onto the sea. The weather was warm but not too hot and the sun was shining down on us from a blue sky without any clouds. When my father had handed me over to Matty he gave me a kiss on the cheek and whispered "You are so beautiful!" My smile grew to a size were I was sure that my mouth was about to explode and I looked him deep into the eyes blushing. I wasn't hiding the fact that his movements and words were making me blush anymore though.

Everything of the wedding was perfect. I had my dreamprince, the location was breathtaking and there were neither blunders nor embarassing speeches. But even if it would have been I wouldn't care becaus the thing that made the wedding perfect was my new husband Matty Tomson, the boy who came into my life all of a sudden and turned it upside down, who showed me a better life which made me even more happy!
