Where did this story leave off? With Ruby. She vowed to save Hogwarts from the Death Eaters, despite that it may end with the loss of her own life. She sent Draco a letter via cat, promising him that everything would be okay in the end. But she knew better than to make false promises, so why did she make one? Because she wanted to believe she was right; that everything would work out. But she didn't know that, and she wasn't even sure how to ensure this fate she'd planned out. But a storm was coming, and it vowed to wash out the reign of Hogwarts school -- as well as the fire they carried.
