Ruby awoke with a pounding migraine.

Her body ached all over her tongue her mouth was numb and dry. And she was cold all over. Prying her eyes open, she realized that she was slumped on a dirty, cold, wet floor. She was in a dungeon.

"Oh, bloody hell," she grumbled, forcing herself to sit up. Looking around at the dank walls, smelling the bitter scent of decay and waste, Ruby came to the sour conclusion of what she feared most. She had been captured by the Death Eaters.

"Ruby!" her ears twitched at the familiar, high-pitched, whiny voice. Nonetheless, she was relieved when she saw Finley in locked in bars across from her.

"Finley!" she was more surprised at the fact that he was alive if anything, "I thought you were dead!"

"I thought you were dead!" Finley replied, "What happened to ya?"

She glowered back at him, "I was playing a few rounds of hopscotch, whatcha' think happened to me?"

Another quiet voice sliced through the air, "Ruby?

Further down the corridor, Luna's voice carried through, "Luna! Where are you?"

"In in a prison cell, by the looks of it," Luna replied.

"Are you okay?" Ruby asked her.

"I'm fine. A couple of scratches here and there, but I'll be fine," she still sounded so cheery and optimistic.

She turned to Finley, "This may be a dumb question, but where are we?"

"Malfoy Manor. We're in the cellar, cheery ain't it?" he replied.

Malfoy Manor? If she was in the manor, then that could only mean...

There was suddenly a loud squealing of un-oiled door hinges, it made Ruby and Luna shudder

There was suddenly a loud squealing of un-oiled door hinges, it made Ruby and Luna shudder. Heavy boot steps followed, and from the looming shadows stepped out a couple of snatchers. One of them was the old man in the raincoat, only know he was dressed in a distinguished suit and had his beard had vanished. He glowered at Ruby as he passed, tossing a rancid apple into her cell. He did the same for Finley and Luna.

Luna made the mistake of speaking out to him, "What are you going to do with us?" she asked the snatcher.

He turned to her with an ugly yellow smile, staring her down like a tiger with his dinner in his crosshairs, "That depends solely on your father's actions, my naive little one,"

"Oi!" Ruby rattled at the bars, "Piss off from her, you fat garden slug!"

"Ruby!" Finley hissed.

The old man, pleasantly delighted by Ruby's outburst, circled back to stand at her cell, towering over the shorter witch.

"Have you got a problem, little halfblood?" he spat.

"Yeah," she nodded defiantly, "I got a problem with big sods like you trying to scare my friends!"
