30. An invasion.

"I hate to do this." I mumbled angrily and jumped over a tree stump.

"I hate this too, but if we don't do it that lunatic will kick us out from the team and academy." Sparky said kicking a stone.

I groaned and rubbed my face. "I know. But I still hate it."

A week passed since last time when that lunatic yelled and accused us for disobeying his orders and since then, he calls us in his office every day, to make sure that we are ready for any possible situation and to our bad luck, he had an amazing idea. We should patrol every night and day, around the academy to prevent a surprise attack. The cherry from the bottom of the cake is that the novices have more patrolling hours than the more experienced ones. This fucking means that me, Sparky, Lincoln and Sky, have more patrolling hours than the rest of them. Even Sirius has less hours than us! Today and tomorrow is my shift. Today with Sparky and tomorrow with Black. What a pleasure.

"What time is it? I want to go home and sleep." Sparky wined and seat on a fall tree trunk.

I seat next to her and looked at my phone. "It's just 2 and a half. We have to stay here until 6 when Flame and Lincoln will take their shift."

She groaned and throw her hands in the air. "Why we have to do this?? It's so boring and no one comes here! Not even an animal. There's no sight of anything, dark or bird or animal or really anything!"

I put my hands in my hair. "I fucking know that Sparky. Thank you for remembering me."

"That's why I'm here." she said and fucking winked at me.

"I'll go and patrol around the dorms and you patrol around the section B of the school. We are already bored, so let's do something useful at last." I got up from my seat and brushed away the dust from my butt.

She groaned again but stood up too. "Fine. But if I will find you sleeping on the dorm's stairs I'll kick your ass."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just shut up and go. If you see or hear something telepath me." I said and turned around to leave.

"Yes, sir!"

I showed her my middle finger and continued my midnight walk. Well, 2 and a half walk but you get it. After walking in circle around the dorms for I think half an hour, I got bored and I started to run on a larger area. I ran past trees and all kind of bushes but I stopped when I started to hear voices. The sound was coming from my right. I slowly walked in that direction and I bent down, hiding behind a bush.

This feels like déjà vu and I don't like it.

I parted the bush a little with my hands so I could see. There were a girl with long black hair and a boy with black hair too. I couldn't see the boy's face because he had his back facing me. The girl had high cheekbones, a little crocked nose and brown eyes. 

"Come on brother! Don't tell me that they corrupted you." the girl said arrogant.

"Shut the fuck up Mel. They didn't. I have my own mission and no one can stop me from accomplishing it."

Hey! This voice sounds familiar.

The girl which name I think is Mel, scoffed. "Really? Not even that little elementar girl you are always talking about?"

The boy clenched his fists by his side. "Of course not. She isn't someone important. I can get rid of her whenever I want."

I heard this voice somewhere else, but where?

Mel started to laugh. "Yeah, sure. Let me tell you something dear brother. You can't kill her because you care about her. It's written on all your face. Anyway, if your rational mind comes back, my offer is still up."
