35. The badges.

They stayed silent and exchanged a look that I can't identify.

"Start talking, you idiots. NOW." I growled the last word as I grow more impatient by every minute passing.

Finally, Flame enlightened me. "When you were patrolling with Sparky, you heard two darks talking about an invasion against our academy and you announced the principal and everyone else. After you slept for 8 straight hours, you had patrol hours again, but this time with Black. Then you heard and saw the darks coming and you announced us once again. Then, we all got ready and the fight was very rough. Somewhere almost at the end of the battle, when you were fighting with 2 darks, a third one shoot you and you blacked out.....For 2 weeks." 

My eyes widen when I heard 2 weeks. "I was out for 2 weeks? What happened with the others? We wined? And why I was out for 2 weeks? And why my torso looks like a mummy's one? And why my heart hurts when I get angry?"

"Easy there tiger. Too many questions. Of course that we are the winners. We always are. And the last 3 questions have the same answer. The bullet got right past your heart, but it scratched your heart so you have to be more careful until it heals completely." River answered this time when he saw my panicked face.

I don't know why, but I feel like something is missing. I feel like they are hiding something. No, they would never do that.

"Okay. So no more getting angry or scaring kids or practicing. I got it. Now, when can I leave this place? I don't like hospitals."

"We'll see, after I examine you Miss Moonlight." the doctor said as he walked in.

I sighed and seat on my butt. "Fine. Let's finish this already."

After 15 agonizing minutes when he almost burned my eyeballs with a lantern and cleaned my wound again, he said that I can leave. Of course, after he lectured me about everything I can't do and what pills I have to take. 

I wanted to bang my head with his clipboard so much because he keeps talking and talking and fucking talking.

"OKAY! I GOT IT! JUST SHUT UP!" I yelled angrily and a pang hit my heart.

Doc looked scared and he nodded his head, throwing the file I need to sign so I can leave and run out of the room.

I quickly scrambled a what was supposed to be my signature and I head to the front desk.

"Hello. I signed this paper and the doctor told me that I have to give it to you." I said to the lady that was typing furiously at her computer.

"For what is this paper?" she asked without even looking at me.

I tried hold back a sarcastic remark. "For setting me free from this place because I can't support seeing your annoying face any longer." my smile is so fake that Barbie is jealous.

How I said, I tried to.

She looked up at me shocked and took the paper from my hand. "You can leave now."

"Goodbye to you too." I rolled my eyes and walked out of the hospital.

I stopped when I realized that I don't know where to go. Fuck you idiots and your school! You could've skipped and wait for me but nooo we have to go. Losers.

"SHADOW!!!"

My head snapped in the direction of the sound, to see Black running to me.

"Hi loser. I thought that you have school."

He stopped in front of me and scoffed. "Yes, I have but I can't let my dear friend alone, especially after she just went out of the hospital." he said in a too dramatic way. He even pretend to start crying.
