1 week later
Winters POV
I was sat at the coffee table in my apartment after spending an amazing week with my Mom when I realised that with Backlash being only a week away and me actually having cleared my head, that now was the time to call Shane McMahon and get him to trust me again.
I dialled his number and took a deep breath, moving the phone to my ear.
"Hello, Winter." He greeted after the phone rang a few times.
I had somewhat rehearsed what I was going to say in my head which made all of this a little easier.
"Hey Shane. I was wondering if you were willing to talk about my return?" I tested.
I heard a sigh and then came the next words, "have you had time to clear your head, calm down and think about your actions?"
"Yes completely. 100%. Look, Shane, I know and you know that you can trust me. You need to. We both know what is best for that women's division and that is for me to come back and be the first woman to hold that title."
No answer.
"Think about it Shane, come on. You know I am the best thing for that women's division." I pleaded.
Another sigh.
"Do you know how hard this is for me to trust you? And do you know how unprofessional your actions were? I need you to promise me that won't happen again." He finally said.
"I promise," I said slowly, "Shane please, you gotta hear me out on this one. I don't normally act like that with my personal issues, but what Eva did, I couldn't handle."
"I don't know what Eva did, nor do I want to know. That stays between you. But if, and just if, I trust you to come back I do not want a repeat, okay?" He said with a strong sense of firmness.
"You have my word sir."
Another long, heavy sigh.
"Fine. But trust me Winter if it does happen again, there will be dire consequences." He said with assertiveness.
"I understand completely." I agreed.
A long pause.
"I will get in touch nearer the time of your return. Stay by your phone Mrs Calaway."
"Thank you so much. I promise you won't regret this."
And with that, I ended the call with a giant grin on my face.
I decided to send Dean a text to let him know the good news.
I really respect Shane and I don't want to let him or the WWE universe down. My and mean so much to me and I know my actions affected them too.
I can't let a little slut like Eva ruin my dream.
I need that title.
Yeah sure, reigns can be overwritten, but being the FIRST champion. That will go down in the history books.
Forever.
Dean's POV
Baby Phenom - Hey handsome. Guess who's just talked Shane around to letting them come back? ;)
I smiled down at my phone.
"What you grinning at Ambrose?" Roman teased.
"Winter." I said simply.
"She sure means a lot to you, huh?"
I nodded.
"Well don't make no more stupid mistakes. Idiot. Don't screw this one up, 'kay?" He slapped my head and I glared up at him, before looking back at the text and nodding.
I was so proud of her.
"Does Daddy know yet?" He asked me.
"No." I sighed.
"You do know that more or less both of the rosters know? News travels man, it won't be long 'til he finds out and you get an ass whooping." He joked as he took a swig on his beer.
I ignored his remark and texted back my reply.
Me - I'm proud of you baby
