There is a story among the oldest of Night Elves…

Of a time when Humans were the only supreme race of Azeroth. Earth, those humans called Azeroth. The elders spoke of great powers, and technology.

They spoke of how there were many languages, and continents. They told of a time before the humans completely lost touch with nature. Humans who were great warriors…

Warriors who would sometimes use nature itself as a weapon. Warriors that rivaled the great Dragon Flights with their abilities to travel in time and space.

This was very long ago…

Elders now have long forgotten these stories…

And not every story you hear…

Is a myth.

“Erilanis, please!” There was a rustling of clothes.

“Oh, buzz off Deriss, I’m only looking. What, are you superstitious?”  Soft, padded footsteps echoed in the chamber.

“No! It’s just that everyone who has ever touched the orb disappeared! Tyrande herself said it was cursed!” Two women were in an empty chamber, barring the artifact in the middle.

“It’s not cursed. How could someone curse something so… pretty?” The brave one, Erilanis, pulled down her hood to reveal…

Glowing eyes, claw like tattoos, and elongated pointed ears.

A Night Elf.

The other woman, Deriss, pulled down her hood to reveal much similar features. They were sisters actually.

Deriss had white hair, pulled into a pony tail, and dark purple skin. Her tattoos were of cranes. On her head rested a circlet, showing she was a priestess of Elune. The moon was void black however, to show her status as a Shadow Priest, who flung diseases and curses at enemies. She could however, change her talents to that of a Holy Priest, a healer, signified by a white moon which her circlet would become.

Erilanis too had white hair, though her hair was long and free. Her skin was more of a lavender grey hue, and she had a circlet with a paw, showing her status as a Druid of Cenarius. The paw was scarlet, to show that she was a Feral Druid, one that specialized in melee combat. She too could change her talents, though she became a Balance Druid, who specialized in light healing and powerful ranged attacks. This was signified by a purple paw, which her circlet would turn.

“I think we should leave.”

Erilanis huffed and leaned into a slouch. “Deriss, stop being-“ she looked down to see what she was resting her hand on. It was the artifact. “Deriss.”

Deriss looked on with horror. “Erilanis, no!”

With a flash, Deriss was left alone, in an empty chamber, with a glowing artifact.
