Patrick's POV

Saturday comes around, and I honestly think it couldn't have turned out better. Well, I take that back, if either of us had won the lottery it could've been better, but I'll still take how it turned out.

I walk into Andy's house with my arm slung loosely around Pete's waist, feeling great. I think I just had to get used to the medication before it took full effect and boy is it working.

"I ordered pizza," Andy smiles from the kitchen, holding up a vegetarian pizza slice.

"Man, I don't know how you can't eat meat, but thanks for the pizza," Pete grins, brushing his fringe back.

"Man, I don't know how you can wear eyeliner," Andy retorts with a smirk.

"Well I was just recently crowned the Emo King by this kid, so I'm going to keep wearing eyeliner to keep my throne," Pete declares, stepping up onto a chair at the dining table and raising a pepperoni pizza slice in salute.

"I don't see a crown," Andy raises his eyebrow, taking a bite of pizza.

"You got any cardboard?" I ask, grabbing a pair of scissors off the counter.

Ten minutes later, Pete, Joe, Andy and I are sitting at the table with Pete wearing a tinfoil covered cardboard crown on his head and a black sheet around his shoulders like a cloak, sitting at the head of the table. He's already downed an entire pizza and we've been here for fifteen minutes.

"You look ridiculous," Joe says, laughing a bit.

"Ridiculously hot," I confirm, grinning after taking a bite of pizza.

"Aw thanks bae," Pete winks, blowing me a kiss.

"Only speaking the truth," I wink back, finishing the slice and starting another.

"Alright alright enough," Andy says, grinning, "Everyone ready for a five hour long practice session?" He waggles his eyebrows.

"Definitely," Pete winks, "I think winking is my new thing now."

"What was your previous thing?" Joe says, then holds his hands up, "Wait- don't answer that, I don't want to know." He laughs, finishing his fifth slice and leaning back in his chair, "I'm ready to play now."

Pete looks a bit disappointed but perks up, "Yeah, I already finished one and a quarter so I'm ready to play. But I'll eat the rest after."

"Great, let's go!" I grin, and we all head down to the basement. I adjust Pete's crown, "It was a bit crooked."

"Thanks," He grins, slinging an arm around me, "All I need is a staff now."

"Use your bass as a substitute," I smile, pecking his cheek.

We all tune our instruments and I take a swig of water before we start to practice Dead on Arrival. After about two hours of focusing on that song only, Pete and I introduce Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy. We practice that for another four hours and the next thing we know it's dinnertime. I wipe my forehead, taking my fedora off and setting it on my microphone. Joe and Andy have already raced each other up the stairs to order more pizza. That leaves Pete and I.

I down the rest of the second water bottle I had, then turn around to find the Emo King himself standing there with a smirk on his face. He loops his arms around my torso, pulling me close, "Well hello."

"Hi," I blush, wrapping my warms around his neck. Pete normally hates when people touch the back of his neck, but I think he's made an exception for me. He smiles, leaning down to kiss my neck. I giggle, trying to push him back, "You know that's my weak spot!"

"I know," He mumbles, kissing my jawline.

I tangle my hands in his hair, his crown falling to the floor, but who cares right? I think this can be an exception. Pete smiles and kisses my lips, slipping his tongue around mine every now and then. I close my eyes, breathing a bit hard. He kisses down my neck and jawline then bites my bottom lip. That's new. I kiss him back, biting his top lip. Pete smiles then pulls out his phone and plays a familiar song, but I can't quite put my finger on it until later. Of course- it's Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis. "May I have this dance?" Pete bows dramatically.

I laugh, holding out my hand, "Anything for you, Emo King."

He grins, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrap mine around his neck, pulling him close.

Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help
Falling in love
With you

Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin?
If I can't help
Falling in love
With
You

Pete starts to sway slowly to the song and I follow suit, resting my head against his neck. He traces circles on my back from time to time.

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things
Were meant to be

Take my hand
Take my whole life
Too
Cause I can't Help
Falling in love
With
You

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things
Were meant to be

Oh

Take
My
Hand

Take my whole
Life
Too

Cause I
Can't
Help
Falling in love
With you

Cause I
Can't
Help
Falling in love
With
You

But I
Can't help
Falling in love
With
You

When the song ends, Pete's eyes are closed and his forehead is against mine. I smile, leaning in to kiss him slowly. He smiles into the kiss, pulling me as close as we can get.

"I think I'm falling in love with you, Patrick," Pete says, opening his eyes and looking at me intently.

"I think I'm falling in love with you too," I smile cheekily, kissing him again.
